The family room was spacious, spotless and had fantastic facilities like a pool and pitch and putt course. The staff made things much easier for us, especially with young children. The hotel's games room was a good addition, while ample parking and a great location for local families made it convenient. However, the breakfast was great value, but there were massive queues, causing stress for families with kids. Despite this, we had a very enjoyable and family-friendly stay at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club and we would thoroughly recommend it to families looking for a memorable experience.

Additionally, some guests report that the swim pool is too cold for kids and it's located outside the hotel, which makes it hard to walk there with children. Furthermore, the hotel does not specialize in kids' meals and there are no children's facilities in the spa area. There could also be noise issues as kids run and shout around the hotel, especially during meal times. Nevertheless, the hotel is a great venue for a family stay and some grandparents bring their grandkids to have lovely getaways together. The hotel may be more suitable for active guests and families with older children or teens.

Although breakfast may not be suitable for younger guests, the hotel provides excellent care overall and guests appreciate the attention to detail. With its great location near the Old Village and the Chine, it's easy to explore the area and find family-friendly activities outside of the hotel as well.

Many guests have enjoyed wonderful weekend breaks, extended stays with family and November breaks with their loved ones at Luccombe Hall. Next year, some guests plan on spending their vacation at the hotel's pet-friendly sister property. Whatever your plans are, Luccombe Hall Hotel is an excellent choice for a fun family vacation.
