Location
The Michelangelo Resort & Spa is located on the eastern side of the island, a little far out of town to walk, but with shuttle and excursion services available to help move around the island. The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning with fantastic and unique views over the sea and mountains, making it the best choice for the east side of the island. The infinity pool over the sea is one of a kind and the Seafront rooms have beautiful views. The hotel is close to the Thermae Beach and there is a bus stop outside for those who want to reach Kos. The views/location of the hotel and its amazing garden areas were highlighted as being one of the best views and beautiful areas to holiday, despite the lots of steps and challenging accessibility in some areas. The old town is definitely worth a visit, but some guests mentioned that the hotel was far away from the centre. Overall, it was a wunderbarer Urlaub an schönem Strand with Preis Leistung top sehr erholsam.

Breakfast
The breakfast at Michelangelo Resort & Spa is exceptional and exceeded guests' expectations with a wide range of options, including hot English breakfast, American pancakes and Greek pastries. The buffet stays open until 1 am and there is always something one may like. The quality of the food is outstanding and live cooking is available. The hotel's value for money is exceptional, especially for the all-inclusive option. Guests praise the great variety of food in the main restaurant and the other two hotel restaurants. Although some guests complain about not enough seating and the difficulty of keeping the buffet area tidy, they cannot deny the quality of the food. Some guests recommend the pool breakfast, while others advise against breakfast by the pool due to many bees. Overall, guests describe the breakfast and dinner as varied, fresh and of excellent quality. However, some guests claim that the options for vegetarians or people with intolerances are limited and a few reviewers claim that some foods were not hot enough.

Dinner
The guests of Michelangelo Resort & Spa had mixed experiences with the dinner options. Some found the food to be delicious and lovely, especially in the speciality restaurants like Mediterraneo and the Soya Asian Restaurant. Themed evenings were a hit with guests and the desserts changed daily, including lavish cakes and tarts, baklava and Greek delicacies. Live cooking was appreciated and basic foods tasted amazing. However, some found little choice and always the same food and one guest mentioned that the food was more cafeteria-like than 5-star quality. The Mediteranean restaurant received some negative reviews for poorly cooked food. The drinks and juices were sometimes diluted and some staff during meals needed improvement. The buffet was generally good quality and Fish Night was worth every penny. Overall, guests were happy with the great choices of restaurants and bars and with the variety of the food.

Rooms
Michelangelo Resort & Spa's rooms are highly praised by guests for their cleanliness, spaciousness and stunning views. The beds are described as extremely comfortable and there is plenty of wardrobe space and hangers available. The rooms are cleaned daily and toiletries are replenished regularly. Balconies are well kept and provide amazing sea and pool views. Some rooms are new, modern and well laid out, guests also receive an upgrade to the deluxe room for free. Guests loved the panoramic views from the sea-facing rooms, especially the first line of the hotel complex. However, some guests reported issues with hot water, low water pressure and outdated rooms that need refurbishment, especially the bathroom. Junior suites need a furniture renewal, while the family room is described as old and rundown. Insects in the bathroom were a problem for some guests and the bathroom lacked privacy. The rooms were well equipped with air conditioning, TV and a safe. Some guests noted noise issues due to wind and cosmetic repairs are needed.

Beds
Michelangelo Resort & Spa is a hotel that promises guests the comfort they seek during their vacation. The beds in the rooms are extremely comfortable and according to guest reviews, a good night's rest is guaranteed. However, the rooms may be smaller than expected, making it challenging to accommodate families comfortably. The sunbeds are also very comfortable, but unfortunately, there aren't enough of them. Guests have to wake up early to secure their sunbeds as they tend to run out quickly and there isn't enough seating available in the evenings. The employees at breakfast can be stressful and there have been situations where other guests have taken reserved sunbeds. Despite these minor hiccups, guests commend the comfortable beds and recommend the hotel to others.

Cleanliness
Guests of Michelangelo Resort & Spa rave about the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms are kept impeccably clean with extra care to ensure they meet high standards. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful with stunning exteriors, clean pools and well-maintained public areas. Cleaning staffs are often praised for their hard work in keeping the hotel spotless. Guests appreciate the daily towel change and the impeccable cleaning of the rooms. However, some guests note that the cleaning in the rooms needs extra attention. Overall, guests found the hotel to be well-organized and the staff, friendly and attentive.

Staff
The staff at Michelangelo Resort & Spa are exceptional with many guests singling out specific members for their helpfulness and friendliness. Maria at reception is a particular standout, always going above and beyond with a smile on her face. The staff are also very accommodating to families with children, showing kindness and care. From the chef to the pool bar crew, the level of service is exceptional with staff working hard to please guests every moment of their stay. While there are a few reviews that mention unfriendly staff, the majority of guests rate the staff as kind, efficient and customer-oriented. Overall, guests have had positive experiences with the staff at Michelangelo Resort & Spa.

Spa
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, the Michelangelo Resort & Spa definitely has you covered. The spa treatments here are top-notch and well worth the splurge. Keep in mind, however, that some guests found the spa prices to be a bit on the steep side. Nevertheless, the hotel is known to generously offer massages as a gift to guests who have experienced issues with their room. While the indoor pool and hammam could be a bit warmer, guests recommend booking massages on the day of arrival to ensure availability. While some reviewers felt the spa area could use more attention from the hotel, the free use of the tennis court and provided wellness area were added bonuses. Additionally, there were some mixed reviews about the spa with some guests wishing it was warmer or more included in the price of the stay. However, overall, the spa treatments were enjoyed by many and a highlight of their stay.

Gym
If you're looking to keep up with your workout routine during your stay at Michelangelo Resort & Spa, you'll be pleased to know that the gym is well-equipped and modern with a decent size. Some guests did mention that the gym is slightly smaller than they would have liked and a few pieces of equipment were lacking or old. However, the biggest complaint seems to be about maintenance issues, such as broken benches and rowing machines, as well as empty water and towel supplies. Despite these hiccups, several guests raved about the yoga classes offered at the resort, praising the excellent teacher. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just looking to squeeze in a quick workout, Michelangelo Resort & Spa's gym offers solid options.

Pool
The Michelangelo Resort & Spa boasts a stunning pool area, including a breathtaking infinity pool that offers guests a serene view. With both indoor and outdoor options, there are fantastic heated and children's pools. The beach area provides a quieter option when the main pool is crowded. The pools are well-maintained and offer plenty of sun loungers, though some guests felt there were not enough during the busiest times. The pool bar serves delicious drinks and beach towels are provided for convenience. However, a few guests noted that the water was cold and there weren't always enough sunbeds available. Despite these minor drawbacks, the infinity pool is truly impressive and well-worth a visit.

Beach
Michelangelo Resort & Spa boasts a private rocky beach accessible only to hotel guests. This beach provides a pleasant area with some shade, nice seating and a beach bar. Guests rave about the sea being calm and crystal clear with surprisingly small waves. Within a two-minute walk from the hotel lies a well-equipped pebble beach with one row of sunbeds and beach umbrellas for a perfect view of the sea. The infinity pool and beach are truly amazing, providing guests with a great opportunity to relax and unwind. However, some guests commented on the beach being a little rocky and not meeting their expectations. They suggest a more active service with additional sun loungers to enhance their beach experience. Despite that, the hotel remains a great choice for those looking for a beautiful beach vacation.

Family
The Michelangelo Resort & Spa is heaven for everyone, including families with kids. The hotel offers a separate swimming pool and playground for kids, making it easy for parents to relax and enjoy their time while their children have fun. Reviews mention that the kids' pool and play area were a hit with the younger guests, as well as the kids club where the staff interacted with the children. Although some larger room set ups could have been better for families, the hotel's overall child-friendly atmosphere and amenities outweighed any small grievances. Parents note that they would defo come back again with their families. While some reviews mention that the property could be more baby friendly with ramps for strollers, families with older children had a great time. The hotel offers a large swimming pool with nearby bars and the kids' pool and playground are well-kept and enjoyable for children. The hotel staff were very accommodating and attentive, especially in the playground area. However, some reviews mentioned that there were not enough sunbeds and that accessing the pools with children was difficult. Despite this, guests highly recommend the Michelangelo Resort & Spa for families with children, as it offers a great kids area and a welcoming atmosphere.

5 Star
Michelangelo Resort & Spa is a beautiful 5-star hotel, perfect for those looking for a top-notch experience. The facilities and services are superb and guests have nothing but good things to say. While some mention that the rooms may not be up to 5-star standards, the overall consensus is that the hotel is fantastic. The food is not 5-star level, but it is still enjoyable. The family room and junior suite furniture may need renewal and the booking rules for restaurants are a bit frustrating. However, the hotel provides a high-quality experience and is every bit worth the stay.

Infinity Pool
The Michelangelo Resort & Spa boasts a spectacular feature- the 160m long infinity pool which left guests amazed. Despite being crowded at times, there were plenty of sun loungers during off-season. Guests enjoyed the pure bliss of the pool area and appreciated the lifeguard's strict adherence to pool safety rules. Some even suggested that the pool was the best feature of the hotel! The infinity pool's design was a sight to see and guests could not stop praising the experience. Cocktails from the pool bar made the pool area experience even better. In conclusion, the hotel's infinity pool is a grand, beautiful and amazing feature that guests cannot stop talking about, among other facilities at the pool area.

Outdoor Pool
The outdoor pool at Michelangelo Resort & Spa has been raved about by guests with phrases such as "grandioser infinity pool," "beautiful pool," and "large pools with nearby bars." The infinity pool has been particularly praised for its size and stunning views. Some guests have mentioned that there may not be enough sunbeds available, but overall the pool area has been described as "very child-friendly." There is no mention of whether the pool is heated, nor if there is a specific children's pool available. Overall, the choice of large pools has impressed guests who enjoy spending time at the outdoor pool and pool bar.

Luxury
Michelangelo Resort & Spa is a 5-star luxury resort with a breathtaking, spectacular view. Many guests mentioned that it's one of the best resorts they have ever seen with affordable prices. The premium rooms above the infinity pool were particularly praised for their luxury. Although a few guests had negative comments about the family room and junior suite furnishings not being up to par with a 5-star hotel, overall, most reviewers described the hotel as perfect and superb.
