There is an Arabian and Bangladeshi halal restaurant within walking distance and Bangladeshi locals were noted for their helpfulness. The hotel is far from the city center and the main tourist areas, but taxis are easily available. The immediate surroundings of the hotel were described as run-down with open drug scenes and many homeless people. Some guests felt that the area was not safe to walk around in at night.
