Guests praised the hotel's excellent location, which is conveniently within walking distance to the city center and renowned Bath sites. The hotel boasts a prime position within a historic crescent, located at the famous Victoria Park and offers beautiful period buildings in an iconic setting. Guests also noted the lovely, peaceful oasis this hotel provides in the midst of the city. In addition to the beautiful setting, the hotel also offers stunning gardens and balconies with amazing views. The proximity to the lovely spa was also praised, as was the hotel staff who were attentive to guests' needs from the moment they arrived. Overall, the hotel's superb location and exceptional surroundings make it the perfect place to stay in beautiful Bath.

Breakfast
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa offers a breakfast experience that is hit or miss according to guest reviews. Some compliment the fantastic and exceptional food that is very tasty, while others found the temporary breakfast arrangements squashed into the front section with poor quality bread and limited options. The breakfast service is also inconsistent with impeccable service on one end, but a lack of staff resulting in long wait times for items and poorly cooked food on the other. Additionally, some felt breakfast was overpriced, despite plenty of high-end options available. However, those who enjoyed their breakfast experience found delicious freshly cooked food with nice options on the menu, making the great restaurant worth a visit. Overall, the breakfast quality is a mixed bag, so it may be worth exploring other dining options if it is an important aspect of your stay.

Dinner
Guests have raved about the exemplary service and wonderful food offered at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa during their evening meals. Some guests appreciated the private dining room, while others enjoyed the alternative dining space in the Dower House. However, the recent renovations to the restaurant downstairs have caused the dining room to be closed for refurbishment, leaving some guests disappointed with the limited dinner menu options. It's worth noting that the dining room only offers one set menu with no a la carte options, but guests commend the sommelier's knowledge when it comes to pairing wines. The five course tasting menu in the Dower restaurant was a highlight for some, while others ordered off the bar menu. Some guests also experienced slow restaurant service and had to wait over two hours for the tasting menu. Nevertheless, guests celebrating special occasions appreciated the care that was provided for their dietary requirements. Overall, the hotel presents great meals with excellent service, but some guests would have preferred more variety in the dinner menu.

Rooms
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa boasts beautiful Georgian architecture and original features in their well-appointed and comfortable rooms. Guests who were upgraded to a suite enjoyed the decor and cosiness of their rooms, complete with lovely extra touches like lavender sleep spray. However, some guests noted that some rooms were dark, noisy and lacked a view. Some rooms also had minor issues with chipped sinks and uncomfortable robes. The hotel offers a mix of room sizes and styles, including fabulous four poster beds and deluxe rooms with city views. While some guests expressed disappointment with the size or decor of their rooms, others found them lovely and spotless. Overall, the rooms at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa provide comfortable accommodation and are well-maintained with rapid and thorough cleaning.

Beds
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa boasts a variety of bed options to ensure a pleasant stay. While some guests found the beds to be too firm or uncomfortable, others raved about the comfort and size of their beds. One room featured a massive and incredibly comfy four poster bed, while another disappointed with two double beds pushed together. However, overall guests reported an extremely comfortable stay with beds usually deemed amazing. Occasionally, a bed was reported as collapsing or being rock hard, but the rooms themselves were comfortable.

Cleanliness
Based on guest reviews, cleanliness seems to be a high priority at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa. Guests found the rooms to be both comfortable and clean with some describing them as spotless or immaculate. The spa also received praise for its super clean state. However, a few guests did experience unexpected issues with the cleanliness of their rooms, although these were promptly addressed with rapid and very thorough cleaning. Overall, the hotel was described as very clean and well-maintained with some guests even noting that the newer areas of the hotel were particularly impressive. The only downside seemed to be that a few areas, such as the spa and restrooms around the reception area, were in need of some TLC. Nevertheless, guests were pleased with the impeccable service and the lovely, clean and very comfortable rooms.

Staff
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is renowned for its exemplary service and the reviews from guests certainly reflect this. From the moment of arrival, the staff are very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The reception and concierge have been described as helpful, professional and efficient. Many guests have praised the very tentative and lovely staff, who are always accommodating and willing to go the extra mile. Attention to detail is evident with impeccable service evident from the management right through to the room cleaners. The hotel's outstanding location, architecture and food coupled with the incredible service provided by the staff make it one of the best hotels in the world. While there have been few criticisms regarding inconsistencies in service, this does not diminish the exceptional levels of service offered by the staff. Overall, the service and attentiveness provided by the staff at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa are top-notch, making for a truly unforgettable stay.

Spa
If you're after a relaxing spa break, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa could be for you. While some guests felt that spa facilities could be better, most couldn't get enough of everything the spa had to offer. In fact, many described it as amazing with some even saying it's one of the best they've ever visited. The atmosphere was spot on and, while the spa was smaller than some had anticipated, it was certainly nice and super clean. Set in gorgeous gardens, the spa facilities were exceptional if a little outdated, but overall provided a lovely spa experience. There were a number of great treatments available, though some did find them a little pricey. A couple of guests had issues with spa bookings, but on the whole, the spa was most enjoyable. Note that while children were seen in the spa, it could feel a little unremarkable and like a public pool. But we would still recommend this beautiful property with a wonderful spa.

Pool
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa offers a beautiful pool that guests can enjoy. However, the pool area closes quite early at 8:00 PM, so it's best to plan accordingly. Although the swimming pool is small, it's perfect for taking a quick swim. Please note that children are not allowed in the pools, except for the kids' pool, which the children seemed to adore. In terms of maintenance, unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of order during one guest's stay. Also, the waters in the small pool were not really hot, which can be a bit disappointing. Overall, the pool area could do with more loungers and some guests expected it to be larger. Another guest suggested that the hydra pool could be bigger too. Lastly, although the pool is beautiful and relaxing, it may not be the optimum relaxing experience if there are screaming children around.

5 Star
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is a fantastic luxury option for a stay in Bath. Guests constantly rave about their exceptional experiences, describing the hotel as wonderful, superb and absolutely fabulous. The well-run five-star hotel provides genuine five-star service, making it a true five-star experience. With good old-fashioned values, this hotel is perfect for a special celebration or occasion. However, some guests have noted that the hotel feels outdated and strange for a five-star hotel and some even described the customer service as 2-star. Additionally, while the staff receives five-star ratings, the spa falls short - some guests found the ambiance to be more like a public pool than a luxury hotel spa. Nonetheless, the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is still a brilliant option in Bath and guests would stay again.
