Location
The Culloden Estate and Spa is a stunning hotel situated in beautiful surroundings that offer gorgeous views and a secluded feel. While not very close to Belfast centre, it is conveniently located next to a train station for easy access to the city centre. Guests can also explore some of the nearby quiet beaches and visit popular attractions such as the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Titanic experience and the Stena ferry port. The hotel boasts lovely grounds and a fantastic location with fresh air and plenty of green space. Overall, guests highly recommend the Culloden Estate and Spa for its beautiful property and picturesque location.

Breakfast
Guests at The Culloden Estate and Spa have had mixed experiences with the breakfast offered by the hotel. Some guests described the breakfast as excellent with a sophisticated selection of cereals, delicious bread and a good variety of cooked-to-order items. Others, however, found the breakfast vastly overpriced or poor in quality with burnt or hard items. Some guests appreciated the dining options available, such as the Cultra Inn breakfast or the food at Vespers for breakfast and Cultra Inn for dinner. However, some guests noted issues with the buffet, such as the items being finished or not being replaced quickly. Additionally, some guests were disturbed by the noisy atmosphere of the Cultra Inn breakfast or found staff shortage or inexperience to be an issue. Some guests were disappointed that breakfast was not automatically included in the cost of their stay and found it frustrating that there was no menu in the breakfast restaurant. Overall, guests have had mixed experiences with the breakfast at The Culloden Estate and Spa, but some have had a fabulous food experience with the various options available.

Dinner
The Culloden Estate and Spa offers plenty of dining options, from the Cultra Inn to Vespers fine dining restaurant. The Cultra Inn seems to be a favorite among guests with fantastic food and a bar menu that includes dishes like barbecued pork chops and fish and chips. However, some guests were disappointed with the quality of the food from the bar menu. The dinner in Vespers was outstanding but comes at a high cost. Some guests encountered issues with staff, such as slow service and being ignored when waiting for a table or booking. Formal restaurant remained closed throughout the stay for some guests. Some also noted that there were not enough options for food on the premises and the kitchen has closed early. However, others enjoyed the meals with some even describing them as fantastic. Nonetheless, there are a few reports of a hair found in food, indicating that hygiene requires adjustment in the kitchen. Despite some shortcomings, the hotel offers lovely meals, both for breakfast and the evening.

Rooms
If you're looking for a stay at The Culloden Estate and Spa, I can promise you won't be disappointed with the rooms. They range from basic to absolutely fabulous and new enough to authentic and historic. Regardless of their class, though, they all have one thing in common: comfort. The beds are always comfortable and there is plenty of space in each of the various rooms. You'll find large comfortable areas, dual aspect rooms with stunning views and spacious, contemporary bathrooms with both bathtubs and showers. Some rooms even come with pleasant lounge areas and USB ports. However, some guests have reported some issues with room temperature, air conditioning and some minor cleanliness issues. If you're feeling fancy, you could also opt for one of the suites, where you can enjoy a room equipped with dining tables for four and your own breathtaking 180-degree view of the Lough - make sure to request it. All in all, the rooms and building are lovely and the staff is incredibly friendly - making The Culloden Estate and Spa the perfect haven for relaxation.

Beds
The Culloden Estate and Spa provides guests with some luxurious bedding and very good sized beds to sleep in. While some guests found the pillows and joint in the middle of the bed to be uncomfortable, many others described the beds as super comfy and beyond comfortable. Unfortunately, some guests were disappointed as they paid for a double bed but were given two single mattresses pushed together. Overall, guests who enjoyed the lovely beds in their rooms liked everything about their stay.

Cleanliness
The Culloden Estate and Spa is a stunning and well-maintained property that has received multiple accolades for its cleanliness. The spa area is particularly pristine and well-kept. While a few guests have noted that their rooms needed a better clean or that there were some issues with housekeeping, the majority of the reviews praise the hotel's impeccable cleanliness standards. Common areas are also kept in top-notch condition. Some minor issues such as slow sink drainage or a few stray hairs were reported, but overall, guests seemed pleased with the hotel's attention to detail in terms of decor and hygiene.

Staff
Guests of The Culloden Estate and Spa have mixed opinions about the staff. While some visitors report excellent customer service and pleasant interactions, others describe the service as slow, impolite and unfriendly. Some reviewers note the lack of staff in some areas of the hotel, making it difficult to get assistance. Despite this, many guests highlight the attentive and accommodating nature of the staff with some individuals standing out for their exceptional service, such as the concierge Mel. Overall, the hotel's staff seem to try their best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.

Spa
The Culloden Estate and Spa offers an amazing spa experience for guests with lovely facilities and great treatments available. However, be aware that the spa can get quite busy during certain hours and should be reserved for guests only. Guests can enjoy a relaxing spa break with gorgeous facilities, including a fantastic Jacuzzi. The spa area is very clean and well-maintained with a beautiful design and great amenities. Although the spa can be pricey, the food is excellent and there is a good selection available. While some guests experienced issues with certain amenities, such as the jacuzzi being out of order or issues with the steam and sauna, overall the spa facilities were excellent and luxurious. Overall, guests at The Culloden Estate and Spa have a lovely and relaxing spa experience.

Pool
The pool and spa facilities at The Culloden Estate and Spa are the perfect amenities for those looking to relax after a long day of exploring the city. Guests have raved about the beautiful swimming pool and the perfectly maintained facilities. The jacuzzi and sauna are also not to be missed with many visitors spending a great time in them. However, there have been occasional disappointments, such as when the pool was closed for maintenance, but thankfully it's opened up again. Families in particular will enjoy the pool, which has been described as perfect for them. Overall, the pool facilities at The Culloden Estate and Spa have received great reviews from happy guests.

Family
The Culloden Estate and Spa is a beautiful property perfect for a luxurious family getaway. While some reviewers mentioned that the hotel may not be suitable for toddlers or infants, the staff were still helpful and aware of the disruption. Guests have had wonderful, friendly family experiences and enjoyed relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable breaks. Family rooms are available and the buffet breakfast was a hit with kids. However, some reviewers noted that the family suite could have been bigger and there were no menus offered for room service. Sadly, some guests found that the hotel was not particularly accommodating to children with spa hours being strictly tracked and some staff showing annoyance towards families. Despite this, the Cultra Inn on the grounds of the hotel was a better dining choice for families. Overall, the Culloden Estate and Spa is a fantastic option for a memorable birthday treat or a night away with the family.

5 Star
The Culloden Estate and Spa is a property with stunning building, grounds and views and exceptional service from the team. However, some guests were not thrilled with the five star rating, finding that the hotel lacked the expected lux feel and consistency. While others were pleasantly surprised by a lovely stay with a nice job on the spa and new jacuzzi. Additionally, there were criticisms about the breakfast not being cooked to order, poor coffee making facilities and food not being of five star quality. Some guests also felt that families with children were not particularly welcome, although there was praise for individual staff members, such as an exceptional receptionist. Nevertheless, for some guests, it wasn't quite what they had expected for a 5 star resort.

Luxury
The Culloden Estate and Spa is a luxurious hotel that offers a historical feel and beautiful grounds for a relaxing stay. Despite some reviews noting it was lacking in the 'lux' department, the majority of guests rave about the gorgeous, comfortable and truly amazing experience they had.
