The quality of the food was consistently described as superb, amazing and even the best some guests have had in a hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making for a comfortable breakfast experience. Some guests even received complimentary upgrades and birthday gifts during breakfast. However, there were some minor criticisms, such as tables not being cleared quickly enough and some guests waiting too long for a table. Additionally, a few guests felt that the breakfast was too expensive for what was served. Overall, The Merchant Hotel's breakfast was fantastic with excellent food and service in beautiful surroundings. Be sure to try the eggs Benedict or pancakes and don't miss out on the pastries and coffee.

Guests rave about the fine dining and beautiful bar with one even calling the food at the jazz bar "amazing." The dinner options might be described as a little saucy, but that shouldn't deter you from indulging in the impeccable cuisine. And if breakfast is more your style, you'll find it just as fantastic as the evening meal. In fact, some guests were impressed by the food at both breakfast and the charming Berts restaurant. No matter when you visit, you'll be treated to delicious fare that will make your stay even more memorable. And don't forget to try a cocktail at the amazing cocktail bar!

The suites are particularly noteworthy with one guest describing the bed as the comfiest they've ever slept in. While most guests loved everything about the hotel, some felt that the pillows could use some improvement.
