Location
Grand Hotel Blackpool is ideally located for exploring the popular seaside town of Blackpool. Not only is it a short walk from Blackpool Tower and the town centre, but there is also a tram stop conveniently located right outside the hotel. Guests can easily travel around the town and visit North Pier or take a 20-minute stroll past other hotels into town. The hotel offers lovely views of the seafront and is extremely easy to find with good access and car parking facilities. Although some guests may need to drive to reach the Towers and the town centre, the location is still highly praised with many guests commenting on how it created new memories during their stay. Overall, the Grand Hotel Blackpool offers a great location for visitors to explore all that Blackpool has to offer.

Breakfast
The breakfast at Grand Hotel Blackpool receives mixed reviews from guests. Some describe it as good or lovely with plenty of choices and a spot on breakfast. Others, however, found the breakfast terrible with poor quality ingredients and prices seen as extortionate. Some guests were disappointed with the lack of a coffee machine and tinned fruit. While many enjoyed breakfast, others found it to be a mixture of cold and hot options or even swimming in grease. Overall, it seems that the quality of the breakfast at Grand Hotel Blackpool leaves something to be desired with some guests enjoying it while others were left disappointed.

Rooms
The Grand Hotel Blackpool's rooms are a mixed bag with some guests reporting that they are outdated and in need of a refresh, while others found them clean, modern and spacious. Many guests felt that the rooms were a good size and had everything they needed for a comfortable stay with some even enjoying amazing showers. Additionally, some guests loved their lovely sea view rooms, while others noted that upgraded family rooms with seafront were roomy and comfortable. While some guests recommended the hotel's comfy beds and clean crisp sheets, others pointed out that the walls are very thin and the furniture and fixtures had seen better days. Guests who stayed in basic rooms reported that they were clean, but could use some TLC. Despite some reports of marks, cracks and outdated amenities, the hotel itself was very clean and tidy.

Beds
The beds at Grand Hotel Blackpool seem to be a mixed bag according to guest reviews. While some guests found the beds to be comfortable and enjoyable, others described them as horribly uncomfortable and outdated. Some guests even found the mattresses to be too springy and noisy when turning over. On the other hand, some guests enjoyed the ability to choose different size pillows and the availability of tea and coffee in the room. Some of the rooms had modern and large beds, while others had lumpy and noisy ones. A few guests found the cushions to be uncomfortable due to them being feather-filled. Overall, it seems that the quality and comfort of the beds at Grand Hotel Blackpool vary depending on the room.

Cleanliness
Guests have mixed feelings about the cleanliness of the Grand Hotel Blackpool. While some rooms are seemingly clean and basic, others have carpets and bathroom towels with stains, hairs in the bathtub and cigarette ash on the window sill. The hotel's dated furnishings and basic decor make the place look a bit tired and some guests suggest an update in some areas. However, there are some clean and comfortable rooms with a good view, excellent staff and a clean pool and changing area. Overall, cleanliness seems to be a hit or miss with some guests finding cleanliness issues and others being satisfied.

Staff
The staff at the Grand Hotel Blackpool have received mixed reviews from guests. Many describe the staff as polite, friendly and exceptional in their service. They are attentive, accommodating and helpful in both the dining and leisure areas of the hotel. Guests particularly praise the breakfast and main bar staff for being lovely and great with children. However, some guests have expressed disappointment in a few reception staff who are perceived to be lacking in personality and not proactive in assisting guests. There were also reports of a pool area staff member being unattentive to customers. Despite this, the majority of guests found the staff to be friendly and helpful with some describing them as excellent and accommodating. The Asian manager was particularly praised for their politeness and helpfulness. Overall, the staff at the Grand Hotel Blackpool strive to provide a great experience for their guests.

Pool
Guests have mixed opinions about the pool at Grand Hotel Blackpool. Some were impressed with the nice pool and spa area, while others thought the hours of operation for the pool were daft. There was an additional cost of £2 for adults and £1 for children to swim and some guests were frustrated that they had to book their swim time. Some guests didn't use the pool and found that it closed early at 5 pm. Certain guests also described being charged for short blocks of time in the pool. The pool and changing areas were overall very clean, however, some guests had issues with the ceiling and found that the amount of chlorine used caused skin irritation. Nonetheless, the facility did offer a swimming pool and health spa.

Parking
Guests at the Grand Hotel Blackpool have mixed feelings about the parking situation. While some appreciate the convenience of on-site parking, others criticise the cost of parking at a large hotel. One guest felt misinformed about the parking fees, as they were quoted one price initially but charged an additional fee upon arrival. Some guests were also disappointed to learn that what was advertised as free parking on booking websites, actually had a fee of £7 per night. Safety concerns were raised by guests who felt uneasy about the presence of homeless people near the car park. Nonetheless, parking was described as convenient by some guests who did not mind paying the £7 fee. Overall, while there is a cost associated with parking, it seems that the convenience of on-site parking may be worth it for some guests.

Family
Families with kids looking for a fun-filled vacation in Blackpool will find Grand Hotel Blackpool to be a good option. The hotel offers upgraded family rooms with seafront views and plenty of space for everyone, including bunk beds for the little ones. However, some guests have mentioned that the bunk beds could use better cleaning and that sleeping space for younger children on top bunks is limited. Families can enjoy their own TVs in the spacious rooms, which also come with sofa beds for additional sleeping arrangements. Pet owners will be pleased to know that furry friends are welcome at Grand Hotel Blackpool. For kids, there is a pool on site, plus a bar and plenty of space for entertainment. However, noise levels can be a concern with other children playing knock a door run until late and early hours. Guests who made use of the breakfast buffet note it was good and appreciated the larger family rooms where they could accommodate more people comfortably. The hotel is located centrally, however, some guests have mentioned that waiting for transportation with young children or elderly guests can be difficult. Overall, families enjoyed their stay and reported that their kids were kept happy and occupied with the activities at the hotel.
