Location
The location of The Quay Hotel and Spa is nothing short of stunning with guests consistently describing it as beautiful, fantastic, lovely and fabulous. The views here are incredible with some rooms offering views of the Welsh castle, the marina and the river mouth. Dining with a view of the Conwy Castle and Quay is a highlight of breakfast, while the stunning sunsets over the Conwy estuary are another breathtaking sight. The location is also convenient with Conwy and Llandudno both being easily accessible and the hotel is situated in superb surroundings. The only downside is that the outside of the Marina complex is not as brilliant as one would expect. All in all, the location, staff and facilities make The Quay Hotel and Spa the perfect place to stay for a lovely night away or a fantastic holiday exploring the local area.

Breakfast
Guests of The Quay Hotel and Spa rave about the exceptional breakfast they had during their stay. They particularly loved the great selection and quality of food, including freshly cooked options like the full Quay breakfast with hash browns, bacon, egg, tomato, mushrooms, sausage and beans. The food was described as excellent, delicious, lovely, superb and even better than expected. Guests enjoyed multiple choices and accommodations for special dietary needs like gluten-free options. The breakfast spot provided great views from the dining area and the bar/food looked great. However, some noted that the restaurant had only one domestic toaster and booking breakfast and dinner could be rigid. Despite these minor issues, guests overall rated the breakfast 10/10 and could not fault it, describing it as fantastic, amazing, fabulous and exceptional - definitely worth waking up for during your stay!

Dinner
The Quay Hotel and Spa boasts a restaurant and bar with mixed reviews from guests who have dined there. While the food is said to be delicious and amazing, some guests have found the menu choices to be limited and pricey with the fine dining restaurant being particularly disappointing. Bar service has also been reported as poor with long waits for drinks. Despite this, many guests have highly recommended the dinner experience, praising the superb staff, service and chilled bar atmosphere. Breakfast and evening meals, however, have received positive feedback. Overall, while the food quality may vary, the Quay Hotel and Spa offers a unique dining experience with some standout dishes.

Rooms
Guests have praised the spacious and clean rooms at The Quay Hotel and Spa with lovely views of the estuary, marina and Conwy Castle. The standard of accommodation is exceptional and the beds are comfortable. Housekeeping is also excellent with rooms cleaned daily and new towels provided without needing to ask. The hotel has a mix of modern and slightly tired rooms with some needing a freshen-up, but several guests have found the rooms luxurious and beautifully designed. The hotel offers various room sizes, from spacious bedrooms to the stunning sea view suite, which some guests unexpectedly upgraded to. There are accessible rooms available too. Although some facilities require maintenance, guests appreciated the comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms with decent cups and tea making facilities. The bathrooms are generally fine, although some note that the bath is on the small side. The balcony rooms are a highlight for some, offering stunning views and brilliant sunsets. Overall, guests praise the wonderful suites, super clean bedrooms and beautiful interiors, making their stay fabulous.

The beds at this hotel are frequently described by guests as comfortable with many reviewers even going so far as to say that they had the best sleep of their lives here. While some guests found the bed a bit too soft or hard for their liking, many were content with the mattresses provided. Further, the hotel offers the option of combining two single beds to create a large double bed for those who need it. In summary, if you prioritize a restful night's sleep during your stay at The Quay Hotel and Spa, you can be confident in their cozy and supportive beds.

Cleanliness
The Quay Hotel and Spa offers travellers an enjoyable and relaxing stay with a strong emphasis on cleanliness. Guests rave about the spotlessly clean bedrooms and public areas, as well as the impeccable service provided by the staff. Despite a few mentioning the presence of dust, the general consensus is that the hotel is lovely and superbly clean with some even describing it as immaculately clean. The hotel's location and facilities are also frequently highlighted as great with guests impressed by how well-kept the entire establishment is. However, a couple of reviews mention housekeeping being a bit lax with dirty sheets and pillows being an issue in some cases. Overall, The Quay Hotel and Spa exceeds expectations when it comes to cleanliness, making for a comfortable and satisfying stay.

Staff
The Quay Hotel and Spa boasts a team of exceptional staff who are personable, efficient, professional and accommodating, according to guest reviews. The restaurant and bar service and cuisine is particularly highlighted as being excellent. The bar and restaurant staff were described as attentive, friendly and lovely. The sauna, pool and steam room were lovely extras that were well-maintained by the staff. While some guests encountered unhelpful front desk staff, this was balanced by numerous comments about the warm, friendly and welcoming overall service delivered by all staff members. Exceptional staff members were particularly highlighted for their outstanding customer service and ability to make guests feel special. Guest reviews recommend the spa team, particularly for their lovely and helpful attitude. There were some comments suggesting that the hotel may have been understaffed at times, particularly in the restaurant and spa, but overall, the majority of guests were very happy with the friendly and efficient service they received throughout their stay.

Spa
The Quay Hotel and Spa has been a recently popular choice for those looking for a relaxing getaway. While some guests had great leisure and spa facilities, others found the spa area small and unwelcoming with cold water in the hydrotherapy pool and a broken whirlpool. The spa treatments were described as top drawer by some, while others found them poor and not worth the money. The spa could use additional seating areas and changes are currently underway. Guests also suggested the spa staff may benefit from more help, as some looked stressed. Despite mixed reviews, many enjoyed using the hotel's spa facilities with the sauna and steam room being decent-sized. However, some felt that the spa could do with a redesign. Overall, the spa at The Quay Hotel and Spa had some ups and downs and may not be suitable for those searching for a high-end spa experience.

Pool
The Quay Hotel and Spa boasts a good-sized swimming pool that guests can enjoy at no extra cost, along with other facilities such as a steam room and sauna. However, some guests noted that the hydrotherapy pool was not as expected, as it was not a hot tub. While some guests found the pool a bit too cold for their liking, others found it to be the perfect spot for relaxation. Unfortunately, insufficient seating and a lack of loungers made the pool area less comfortable than it could be. Additionally, some guests were disappointed to find that family swim times were limited. Nevertheless, many guests enjoyed the location and beautiful views of the Castle and appreciated the easy access to the pool through the spa side. Overall, the pool and sauna facilities, while not perfect, were a highlight for many guests who stayed at the hotel.
