Location
The Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa boasts an unbeatable location on this fabulous island. The views from the hotel to the Sound of Mull are simply spectacular, while the setting and views are stunning. The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry port and is ideally situated to visit all parts of the island. Guests can enjoy beautiful sea views when relaxing in the bar/restaurant or walking in the lovely surrounding grounds. With loads of walks right on the doorstep, exploring the island couldn't be easier. The location is outstanding, providing a secluded and beautiful view - just the perfect spot. This hotel is a great base for exploring Mull and guests always enjoy the convenience of being so close to the ferry terminal.

Breakfast
The breakfast options at Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa were a mixed bag according to guest reviews with some describing it as delicious and wonderful, while others found it disappointing and overpriced at £12.50 for a small portion. The menu had varied and interesting choices, but serving sizes weren't always the largest and some dishes could be improved. Coffee was sometimes cold, toast not offered or pastries not fresh. However, others praised the excellent food selection, the delicious options for breakfast and the great views from the dining room. The hotel served both breakfast and dinner and the restaurant options were praised with guests enjoying all their meals in the restaurant. Despite some inconsistencies and improvements needed on service and prices, many guests were still satisfied with their breakfast experience at the hotel.

Dinner
The dinner experience at the Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa seems to be a mixed bag. Some guests were impressed with the tasty, creative menu and outstanding food. They enjoyed the varied and interesting menus, while others found the food overpriced or disappointing. Limited food options and unavailable items sometimes left guests with not much choice. Cocktails and fresh seafood at dinner were highly praised, while undercooked pizza and poorly made tomato sauce were let downs. However, the serving sizes at dinner narrowly avoided being 'minimalist nonsense.' The dining room offered great views and the restaurant was highly recommended. While the quality of the food was exceptional, it was not always consistent and some guests found the service only average. Despite the mixed reviews, guests still enjoyed their stay and the food seemed to be one highlight of their trip.

Rooms
Guests of the Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa had a great experience with their rooms. Many described them as clean, modern, beautifully presented and comfortable. The hotel had a cozy atmosphere with modern Highland decor throughout. Some of the rooms had lovely views and guests appreciated the ground coffee, tea and snacks provided in-room. While some guests felt that the rooms were small or lacked storage, others found them spacious and enjoyed the newly renovated facilities. There were some minor issues, such as single glazing causing cold rooms and difficult-to-use bathrooms, but overall guests were pleased with the quality of their accommodation.

Beds
The Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa offers a comfortable stay with a variety of reviews on its beds. Some guests found the beds to be exceptionally comfortable, offering a great night's sleep, while others complained about the uncomfortable beds needing an upgrade. However, most guests agreed that the rooms were comfortable and spacious with lovely views of the surrounding area. Though some beds were described as creaky or noisy, many guests praised the large and super comfy beds. Overall, the hotel provides a comfortable stay with comfortable rooms and beds.

Cleanliness
Guests of Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa had mixed feelings about the cleanliness of the hotel. While some praised the spotlessness of the rooms and facilities, others felt that the carpets in the public areas could have been cleaner and that attention to detail was lacking. Some guests reported finding dust and cobwebs in the bathrooms, while others found stains on the bedding. However, there were several positive reviews from guests who described the hotel as beautifully clean, immaculate and tidy. The hotel was complimented on being clean, warm and fresh and guests appreciated the appropriate facilities for disabled travelers. Overall, while opinions on the cleanliness of the hotel were divided, its location, facilities, food and relaxation factor were well-received.

Staff
The staff at the Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa are exceptional with friendly, helpful and attentive service being the common theme throughout the guest reviews. From the moment of arrival, guests are greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The maitre'd and young barman receive special mentions, as do Gavin and the reception team for their knowledge, efficiency and helpfulness. The hotel staff go out of their way to make guests and their pets feel welcome and their eagerness to chat and help with recommendations makes for a memorable stay. The only negatives mentioned are the occasional lapses in attentiveness at breakfast, but otherwise, the staff never appear to sleep, providing courteous and efficient service around the clock. The lovely views, cozy atmosphere and delicious food are all complemented by the hard-working, genuine staff who make one feel right at home.

Spa
The Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa is a lovely hotel that boasts a spa and pool facility. However, it’s important to note that the basic price only includes the swimming pool so it's recommended to purchase spa access beforehand or part of an all-inclusive package. The spa and pool facilities were a nice touch and left a lasting impression on most guests. The thermal experience, hot tub, foot spa and sauna were some of the notable amenities available. In contrast, some expressed disappointment at the additional charges for access to the spa which can be quite expensive and there were reports that the spa wasn't in operation during certain hours. Some guests felt that the hotel was not a genuine spa hotel and the spa was more akin to a community swimming pool. Yet overall, the spa was perceived to be of excellent quality with relaxing facilities and treatments and the wilderness spa was particularly impressive.

Pool
Guests have mixed reviews about the pool at the Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa. Although it is included in the basic price, some guests were disappointed that they could not use the pool when they wanted to, as it is only open from 10am-6pm. Furthermore, the pool is also used for children's swimming lessons, leaving little lane space for adults to swim. The hotel guest changing rooms are also used by children, which could be inconvenient for adult guests.

On the other hand, some guests loved using the pool and spa facilities, describing them as the cherry on top of their stay. The pool facilities were excellent with an outdoor hot tub, fantastic views and thermal experiences. Some guests also appreciated that access to the swimming pool was included in their stay. However, others found the extras to be expensive on top of the already high cost of the hotel.

Unfortunately, some guests experienced issues with the pool during their stay, such as the pool boiler being broken or the pool being out of action for certain periods. Some guests also mentioned that the pool was hogged by families with small children, leaving little space for other guests.

In conclusion, the pool and spa facilities at the Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa have received mixed reviews from guests. While some enjoyed using them, others found the inconveniences and extra costs to be a negative aspect of their stay.

Family
The Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa is a lovely hotel that warmly accommodates dogs, making breakfast with your furry friend a bonus. The hotel offers children's swimming lessons at the community pool, but the lane left for guest swimming is not ample enough for adults. The hotel guest changing rooms are also used by children, leaving clothes all over. The hotel has a modern country chic style and great facilities, including dog walking areas. However, the pool used to be hogged by families with small children and time limits for kids in the pool are now imposed. The hotel also has limited dining options nearby and it can be quite expensive to bring your pet. Room service must be requested and isn't maintained every day. While there are no specific activities for kids, it still is a dog-friendly hotel with accommodating staff, making it a lovely relaxing retreat. But be warned, some guests thought it wasn't worth the money and they wouldn't recommend it to their friends and family.

Rooms with Jacuzzi / Hot-Tub
The Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa provides a great weekend getaway for those looking for relaxation and luxury. The outdoor hot tub and Jacuzzi were a nice touch and added to our stay. However, it is disappointing that they charge extra for the use of the steam room, sauna and hot tub, which should be included given the high price of the hotel. The Jacuzzi was not as warm as expected, but being able to purchase access to the hot tub and spa facilities was a great option. The thermal experience was also very good and we especially enjoyed the booked luxury suite with a hot tub. It was a shame that the mud for the mud experience was not included. The hotel provides a great spa experience overall and the outside Jacuzzi was a great addition to our stay.

Dog Friendly
The Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa is a truly dog-friendly hotel with reviews raving about how accommodating and welcoming they were to furry guests. From the dog basket in the lounge to the great dog walking facilities, the hotel really goes out of its way to make dogs feel at home. Even yappy guests were no problem for the hotel staff. While the £20 a night fee for dogs may be a bit steep for some, overall the hotel is very accommodating to four-legged friends. If you're traveling with your pup and looking for a welcoming place to stay, the Isle Of Mull Hotel and Spa is definitely worth checking out.
