Location

Loch Ness Country House Hotel is a beautifully situated old world charm hotel close to Inverness. It has a great location, a bit outside of the city but it is gorgeous with great views. Convenient for sightseeing, it is perfect for central exploring of Inverness, Loch Ness and Highlands, halfway between the two. Lovely views over the gardens, a beautiful building set in its own gardens with a sunny terrace overlooking Inverness. The location and friendliness of the staff were excellent. The setting and grounds were lovely, a great location that is set back off the road in a cozy wooded area. It is a beautiful location and really tranquil with lovely views. The grounds and location are great, a lovely location that is an ideal quiet spot just outside Inverness itself. The surroundings are beautiful, quiet, peaceful and the views are amazing. The hotel has a good location within easy reach of Inverness and Loch Ness and the setting is picturesque, fantastic and splendida location immersa nella natura. It is a recommended place to stay with a beautiful location that is very peaceful and quiet. However, be aware that some reviewers have noted that the location does not match the photos at all and that it is not actually a country house but rather an old building that needs a lot of maintenance.

The restaurant serves a fairly standard range of choices for breakfast and dinner, but they are beautifully prepared and served. Guests especially enjoyed the smoked salmon at breakfast. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding with generous and superb choices. The breakfast choice was also superb and lovely with a good standard of food. However, some guests had issues with undercooked breakfast. Despite that, the breakfast was yummy and top-notch. Overall, guests really enjoyed the breakfast selection and would come back just for that. Even guests who pre-ordered breakfast were satisfied with the more elaborate options included in the price. The hotel provides a lovely setting and environement for breakfast, which is also accessible for international guests as they particularly praised their "Très bon petit déjeuner", "sehr gutes, reichhaltiges Frühstück" and "veldig god frokost".

Additionally, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to maintain COVID safety measures and even erected a marquee in the garden for guests who wanted to dine with alcohol. Although a few guests found the menu options to be limited, the majority of reviews praise the food as exceptional and superb. Overall, the Loch Ness Country House Hotel is a comfortable and classy destination for a great meal with very high standards for both dinner and breakfast.
