Location

The Briarfields boasts a beautiful and quiet location, situated within easy walking distance to the seafront and marina and only a short distance from the town centre and shops. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Torquay and the surrounding area with guests mentioning its easy reach of local amenities, as well as being close to two railway stations. Although placed on a busy road, the hotel is far enough away from the town centre to avoid any drunken behaviour destroying the peace and quiet. A stroll through Torre Abbey gardens takes guests directly to the seafront, while an alternative route leads to the shopping district of town. The location was generally thought to be excellent with guests appreciating the easy walk into Torquay, nice flat walk into town and the pleasant park down to the sea front. Some guests did note that the hotel was a little out, but its clean property, efficient service and attractive newly decorated rooms make it a great choice for a stay in Torquay.

Breakfast

The Briarfields is renowned for its amazing breakfast options which are presented beautifully and taste excellent. The choice and quality of breakfast are fantastic with a wide range of choices to choose from daily. Moreover, the host was great and nothing was too much trouble if the guest wanted something different for breakfast. The breakfast menu is exceptional with plenty to eat and cooked to perfection. Additionally, everything served is fresh and the fruit salad with a variety of fruits is superbly fresh. They also cater to different dietary requirements and serve delicious gluten-free options. Overall, breakfast at The Briarfields is truly amazing and not to be missed.

If you're looking for immaculate and super clean accommodation, The Briarfields is perfect for you. The rooms are spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. They have everything you need and even extras like cotton buds and cotton wool pads in the bathroom! The beds are super comfy, the bathrooms are high spec and the towels are large and fluffy. The cleanliness of the property and the rooms is exceptional with spotlessly clean linen and towels. With lots of storage space, sitting areas, mini fridges and air conditioning, the rooms are well equipped without being ostentatious. Although some rooms may be small, they're cosy, tastefully decorated and have everything you need. Furthermore, the hosts go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, if you're looking for quality rooms in a clean and tidy hotel, The Briarfields is definitely worth a visit.
