Designed by Frank Gehry, Hotel Marqués de Riscal boasts a truly unique and rather futuristic exterior design, which is juxtaposed with its location in the historic town of Elciego. The hotel consists of rectilinear prisms which float above the ground, supported by three columns that hold the building, as well as tilted walls and zigzag windows, while the building is wrapped in cascades of titanium in silver, gold and pink colour, creating a modern-day 21st century chateau.
