Casona de Tao is a remarkable destination, situated on a mini volcano in Lanzarote, offering guests spectacular 360-degree views of volcanoes and the sea, creating a serene atmosphere ideal for a peaceful retreat or romantic getaway. The central location provides convenient access to important attractions, such as Timanfaya National Park, while the beautifully designed and decorated rooms enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The property's rooftop terrace, common lounges, and charming outdoor spaces further amplify the sense of tranquility, complemented by the friendly staff who contribute to the welcoming environment. A unique feature is the absence of traditional breakfast service, instead encouraging independence with a well-equipped communal kitchen, praised for its practicality and fostering a communal spirit.
Rooms are spacious, offering modern amenities with tasteful decor and stunning views via large French windows and balconies, ensuring a perfect blend of comfort and relaxation. The cleanliness of Casona de Tao is notable, with immaculate upkeep and super comfortable bedding, though minor issues like mold and occasional overlooked spots are mentioned in some reviews.
The staff, led by hosts Jorge, Tony, and José, is often commended for their warmth and attentiveness, enhancing the guest experience with their dedication to comfort and favorable interactions. Despite isolated negative feedback regarding staff attitudes, the overwhelmingly positive service contributes significantly to the hotel's charm.
The pool area, while generally appreciated for its communal appeal and scenic backdrop, receives mixed reviews about maintenance and temperature, especially in winter, although the jacuzzi is consistently praised as a warm and comforting feature. Beds at Casona de Tao are typically large and soft, ensuring restful sleep despite some reports of worn-out mattresses or poor pillow quality in certain rooms.
Overall, Casona de Tao presents a unique and enchanting experience for travelers, combining breathtaking views, serene ambiance, convenient location, and commendable service, making it a highly recommended choice for those seeking a memorable and picturesque retreat in Lanzarote.
