Summary of reviews related to the 'Spa' categoryThe Ruthin Castle Hotel and Spa boasts a lovely spa that is definitely worth a visit during your stay. Some guests found the hot tubs and treatments to be absolutely fabulous! However, there were some mixed reviews regarding the facilities. A woodland spa afternoon turned out to be a bit of a letdown with a malfunctioning steam room and a less-than-great hot tub. Some found the spa treatments to be on the pricey side, but they were said to be totally amazing. The spa is lovely with jacuzzi's, but you need to book in advance. The young lady, Hanna, who's in charge of the spa is extremely welcoming and helpful. However, some guests found the spa costs to be too high and the treatments were sometimes cancelled or rearranged. Some found that the previous spa manager's departure caused quite a bit of confusion. If you're an early-riser, you can benefit from the sauna during the limited 8am-10am window. That said, some guests found the temp of the hot tubs to be too low and found themselves being rushed out a little early. If you're lucky enough to get a booking, the twilight woodland experience is an absolute must-try. Overall, the spa services at Ruthin Castle met with mixed reviews but still has plenty to offer.

The spa only accepts 12 people at a time, so booking a spot in advance is necessary. Some guests found the spa facilities to be excellent, including the hydrotherapy pool, while others found them lacking with overcrowding and not enough loungers. Treatments within the spa area were also available and some guests enjoyed massages and facials. The spa reception staff and facilities received compliments from some guests. However, others encountered issues with misinformation about spa use and some areas where the jets were not working. The spa is beautiful and relaxing, but it could do with some maintenance and repairs according to some guests. Overall, the spa can be a lovely addition to a stay at the Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa, but it may not be perfect for everyone.
