The hotel is located along Kamogawa river and it also offers breathtaking views of the Higashiyama Mountain. It boasts 134 luxury rooms and suites, 4 restaurants which offer the most tantalising cuisine, event venues and an absolutely relaxing spa.

The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto is a fantastic hotel with a great location and efficient, polite staff who provide outstanding service to guests. The rooms are well-appointed with good amenities and the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere with lovely smells throughout. While some male staff could use more training, the staff are friendly, accommodating and go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. The hotel is particularly wonderful for families with young children and expecting mothers. The only issue some guests had was slow service during breakfast hours, but overall, their stay was outstanding.
