Double Room The William Reynolds Room and the James Glazebrook Room are both furnished in a country style, each with a double bed. Please note that these 2 rooms have sloping ceilings, exposed oak beams and limited head height in the en-suites - they may not be suitable if you are tall. They are situated in the Coach House, which is adjacent to the main house. These rooms have velux windows

Double Room with Four Poster Bed The Alexander Brodie Room has antique oak furnishings with a country style four-poster bed, original oak floorboards and overlooks the Ironbridge Gorge.

Twin Room The Thomas Telford Room is a spacious room with twin beds which can be zipped together to form a double bed. It is situated on the ground floor of the Coach House, which is adjacent to the main house.

King Room The William Hazeldine Room is a spacious room with period style furnishings and an antique bed in the style of Louis XV.

Superior Double Room with Four Poster Bed The Lord Dundonald Room has antique mahogany furnishings including the Great Bed of Jackfield - a large four poster bed c1800, measuring 7 feet wide, 8 feet long and 9 feet high.This room overlooks the Ironbridge Gorge.

Large Double Room The Prince William of Orange Room has Victorian furnishings with an ornately carved mahogany half-tester double bed. It is situated on the ground floor of the Coach House, which is adjacent to the main house.

The hotel is situated within walking distance to numerous pubs and restaurants and guests can take a pleasant walk along the old train line path right into town. The hotel is ideally placed for those looking to visit museums and other Ironbridge gorge attractions and is close to all the amenities needed for a short break. The location is peaceful and scenic with a beautiful leafy setting in keeping with most of Ironbridge. Guests can enjoy a riverside walk or take a short drive to the Shropshire Hills AONB. With lovely surroundings and easy access to local attractions, Calcutts House is the perfect spot for a relaxing break.

There is a peaceful guest lounge where one can relax on comfortable sofas or armchairs with a nice selection of magazines and books to read. The breakfast is lovely and the hosts are nice and welcoming. If you are looking for a room with plenty of character, the Coach House is a great choice. Some say the rooms are small, but they are adequately furnished with all amenities you might require.
