However, some guests discouraged booking transportation from/to CMB Airport ahead due to the current financial and fuel crisis which makes it expensive and difficult. Visitors who stayed at the hotel claimed it was one of the best Marriott's they have ever seen and praised the well managed and high quality service. Nonetheless, there were some dissenting voices regarding the location and food not living up to the five star standard at other hotels in Sri Lanka.
