Former Castle Hotels in Letterfrack

John D’Arcy of Clifden Castle built Abbeyglen Castle in 1832, nestled in the romantic setting of the Twelve Bens overlooking Clifden Bay. It was later used as a Protestant orphanage for the Irish Church Mission Society in 1854.
