Deja Resort All Inclusive receives high praise for its outstanding location, convenience and welcoming atmosphere. Situated right across from the famous Doctor's Cave Beach and on Montego Bay's lively "hip strip," guests enjoy easy access to local attractions, shops and nightlife. Its proximity to Sangster International Airport ensures a hassle-free arrival and departure. The resort's breakfast is a highlight, featuring a well-regarded variety of traditional Jamaican dishes, fresh omelets and authentic Caribbean options. While there are occasional critiques regarding variety and cold meat, the dining experience is predominantly positive. Dinner is generally appreciated for its flavor and authenticity, though some guests desired more buffet variety and occasional improvements in food temperature and presentation. Reviews of the rooms reveal a mixed experience. Guests commend the cleanliness and spaciousness but note needs for updates and maintenance, including decor improvements and reliable amenities. Cleanliness, however, is a strong point with many acknowledging the well-maintained property despite occasional lapses. The standout feature of Deja Resort is its exceptional staff. From the front desk to dining and housekeeping, the staff are described as friendly, professional and accommodating. Notable mentions include individuals who significantly enhance guest experiences, showcasing the resort's focus on hospitality. However, WiFi connectivity is a notable area for improvement with frequent reports of unreliable service. This is a drawback, particularly for guests requiring consistent internet access. Spa services are well-received, offering massages and special packages in a warm, home-like atmosphere. The pool area garners mixed reactions; despite being small, it is clean and features a poolside bar, though cleanliness around the area can be improved. The proximity to the pristine Doctor's Cave Beach is a significant advantage with free passes enhancing the beach experience. Parking facilities, although free, are limited and often inadequate, causing inconvenience for guests. In terms of family-friendliness, the resort is generally welcoming with child-friendly activities, though some expect more dedicated kids' entertainment. Breakfast

At Deja Resort All Inclusive, breakfast receives predominantly positive feedback from guests with many highlighting it as one of the hotel's standout features. The breakfast offers a variety of traditional Jamaican dishes, fresh-made omelets and an omelet bar which is particularly praised. Guests enjoyed a good selection of food, including authentic Caribbean options, banana bread and French toast. The service is frequently described as friendly and accommodating, contributing to a generally pleasant dining experience. Guests who appreciate traditional and authentic Jamaican cuisine will find the offerings at breakfast to their liking with some mentioning that they were able to order custom dishes like Ackee each morning. However, not all feedback is glowing; some guests felt the breakfast was below basic or limited in variety and there were occasional mentions of cold meat being served. Despite these few drawbacks, the prevailing sentiment is that of satisfaction with the breakfast experience with many guests noting its quality, variety and taste. Overall, the breakfast at Deja Resort All Inclusive is well-regarded as a highlight of the stay, providing guests with a gratifying start to their day.

Dinner

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a generally positive dining experience with highlights and areas for improvement. Many guests found the food to be good to exceptional, often praising dinner as delicious, flavorful and varied. The Jamaican food offerings, particularly at breakfast and dinner, received positive feedback for their quality and authenticity. Guests enjoyed a variety of meal options daily with some specifically complimenting the jerk chicken from the grill. The service provided by the hospitality staff was also highly appreciated. However, some reviewers mentioned a desire for more variety in the buffet, particularly for vegan and lunch options. A few noted redundancy in the menu and suggested enhancing the overall food selection. While the overall experience was positive, a few critiques arose. There were comments on the temperature and presentation of the dinner with occasional remarks about the food being cold or the dining area having an unpleasant odor. Despite these minor issues, many guests had enjoyable dining experiences and expressed satisfaction with the food quality and variety at Deja Resort All Inclusive.

Rooms

The reviews of Deja Resort All Inclusive highlight a mixed experience when it comes to the rooms. Guests frequently praised the cleanliness and size of the rooms, describing them as clean, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. Room 95, in particular, received positive mentions. However, several issues were noted, including outdated decor, poor lighting and a need for extensive renovations. Maintenance problems such as broken tiles, mildew in the bathrooms and faulty fixtures were commonly reported. The lack of amenities like fridges and functional phones, along with unreliable Wi-Fi and television services, also drew criticism. Noise from surrounding areas and limited hot water were additional drawbacks. Despite the positive comments about the room's cleanliness and comfort, significant improvements and updates are needed for the hotel to stay competitive.

Beds

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers generally comfortable beds that many guests found suitable for a good night's rest. Positive remarks often mentioned the comfort of the bedding and the cleanliness of the rooms, contributing to a pleasant sleeping experience. Prompt service from the staff, such as quickly providing extra blankets, was also appreciated by guests. However, a few negative comments highlighted issues with the mattresses and pillows, which some guests found either too hard or lumpy, leading to discomfort. Additionally, there were mentions of old furniture and minor inconveniences like bedside lamps not working properly and the room being dimly lit. Overall, while most guests enjoyed a comfortable stay, a minority experienced some discomfort and suggested improvements to the bedding and room furnishings.

Cleanliness

Deja Resort All Inclusive consistently receives praise for its cleanliness from guests. Numerous reviews highlight the cleanliness of the property with many describing it as very clean, well-maintained and even sparkly clean at all times. Guests frequently compliment the clean and spacious rooms, noting that both the hotel and its facilities are kept in good order. The environment was consistently described as clean, offering a welcoming, chill vibe. However, there were mentions of some cleanliness issues, such as bathrooms needing more thorough cleaning, occasional presence of pests in the dining area and the need for some renovations. Despite these points, the overall sentiment remains positive regarding the resort's upkeep, contributing significantly to guests' satisfaction. The atmosphere, bolstered by the cleanliness, leaves a generally positive impression on visitors.

Staff

Deja Resort All Inclusive in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is highly praised for its exceptional staff, who are frequently described as friendly, courteous and accommodating. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism are recognized across various areas, from the front desk to security, dining and housekeeping. Notable mentions include Shania, Satia, Kenny the bartender and the humorous and warm Front Desk Manager, all of whom contributed significantly to the positive experiences of visitors. The dining room staff, in particular, receive high marks for their excellent service and efforts to keep guests comfortable. Many guests highlight the friendly nature of the personnel, noting that everyone, from the bellmen to the bartenders, strives to make stays enjoyable. The front desk staff received commendations for their efficiency and accommodation, often going above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. While there are a few mentions of delays during check-in and occasional communication issues, these seem to have been handled with prompt apologies and solutions. Overall, the dedicated and friendly staff at Deja Resort All Inclusive significantly enhance the guest experience, making it a memorable and pleasant stay for many visitors.

Wi-Fi

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for travelers, but there are some areas where improvement is needed, particularly with the WiFi. Many guests have noted that the internet connection is often unreliable with the WiFi signal being weak or non-existent in certain parts of the hotel, including the rooms and areas closer to the entrance. This inconsistency in service has been a hindrance, especially for those needing internet access for business purposes. Additionally, there have been occasional issues with the cable television with reports of unstable or fuzzy reception. While the resort provides many amenities, ensuring a more consistent and reliable WiFi connection would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

Spa

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a range of spa services that guests have appreciated, including massages, manicures and pedicures. Although there were mentions of minor issues, such as a delay in switching on the lights, the overall experience was positive with guests noting excellent services and a warm, home-like atmosphere. The spa also features special packages like the bride-groom package, making it an attractive option for honeymooners. Return guests have expressed their intention to come back, indicating a satisfactory spa experience. Despite the absence of an elevator, the enjoyment of the spa and pool facilities was highlighted.

Pool

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a pool experience that garners mixed reactions from its guests. The pool itself is small with its limited size only accommodating a few visitors at a time. Despite this, guests have praised the clean and inviting water quality, noting that it is often well-maintained and heated for added comfort. The pool area features a poolside bar, which has been highlighted as a positive aspect, providing a convenient spot for refreshment. However, there have been some concerns about cleanliness with mentions of the pool deck and surrounding areas needing deeper cleaning and more regular maintenance. Additionally, some reviews indicate that the pool closes early, which may be inconvenient for those looking to enjoy a late swim. For families, the pool is a hit with kids, who find it enjoyable and fun. Yet, certain aspects such as the balcony door not locking properly and occasional unclean areas like the pool table and hot tub do count against the overall experience. In summary, while the pool at Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a cozy and clean space for relaxation, it may not fully meet the expectations of guests looking for a larger or more meticulously maintained area. The presence of a poolside bar is a welcomed feature, adding a bit of zest to the overall appeal.

Beach

Deja Resort All Inclusive boasts a prime location with easy access to the renowned Doctor's Cave Beach, just a short walk across the street. Guests frequently praised the hotel's proximity to the beach, highlighting its convenience and the beauty of the surrounding scenery. The geographical location is seen as ideal with clear, warm waters and opportunities for activities such as fish spotting and pelican watching. Visitors appreciated the free passes provided for Doctor's Cave Beach, which is recognized as one of Jamaica's most famous and beautiful beaches. Despite the beach not being directly adjacent to the hotel, its accessibility was well-received and guests enjoyed the beach's amenities, including a bar, restaurant and shower points. However, some reviews noted that the beach closes early and access requires a pass. Additionally, the beach chairs and umbrellas come at an extra cost. While the beach is not part of the resort property itself, the daily access and provided beach towels were valued perks. Overall, the closeness to one of Jamaica's best beaches made the beach experience a highlight of the stay at Deja Resort.

Parking

While 'Deja Resort All Inclusive' offers guests amenities such as free car parking and the convenience of off-street parking, many have expressed concerns regarding the availability and overall experience of parking at the hotel. Numerous reviews pointed out that the parking facilities are limited and often inadequate, causing difficulties for guests. Some have described the parking situation as subpar and even a disaster with instances of being blocked in for extended periods and encountering rude staff. Although free car parking is provided, the limited space has been a source of inconvenience for many visitors, demonstrating a need for improvement in this area.

Family

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a welcoming environment, often likening the experience to being treated like a family member by the friendly and helpful staff. Families visiting the resort find it a good choice, especially for kids with many noting the child-friendly atmosphere and the enjoyment of family-oriented activities such as games nights. The resort's pool and beach are highlighted as popular spots for children to be entertained and have fun. However, not all reviews were in agreement regarding its family-friendly nature with some expecting more in terms of specific kids' entertainment options. Despite its relatively small size as a locally owned resort, Deja creates a warm and inclusive environment catering to all guests.

Nightlife

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers convenient access to vibrant nightlife. Situated on the hip strip, guests can enjoy numerous nightlife spots, including nearby bars and clubs, all within walking distance. The area features renowned venues like Margeritaville and various open rooftops that host lively night events. All-Inclusive Packages

Deja Resort All Inclusive offers a mid-level all-inclusive experience that captures elements of authentic Jamaican culture through its food offerings. While guests appreciate the concept of all-inclusive service, some have noted that the resort's amenities are quite basic compared to other all-inclusive establishments. The on-site dining and food services, although convenient, lack the variety that many expect from an all-inclusive resort. The all-inclusive package includes food, drinks and a fully stocked bar in the room, providing continuous access to refreshments. Guests can enjoy all-day dining, which is a major plus and access to the popular Doctor's Cave Beach, enhancing the overall vacation experience. Despite some hiccups with services such as key cards and occasional food quality issues, many visitors had an amazing time, particularly appreciating the simplicity and the value for money offered.

Outdoor Pool

The outdoor pool at Deja Resort All Inclusive receives plenty of praise from guests. Descriptions note that the pool area is well-maintained and inviting, providing a beautiful and clean environment for visitors. Families particularly enjoy the range of activities available around the pool, making it a hit with children. Additionally, the convenience of a pool bar enhances the experience for guests. While the majority of reviews highlight the pool's cleanliness and appeal, there are occasional remarks suggesting the pool and jacuzzi could be cleaner. Overall, the pool is frequently described as a standout feature of the resort.
