Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club offers a charming experience for those seeking a relaxing getaway in the countryside. The hotel, with its rich history and old-timey feel, exudes character, particularly in its beautiful lobby, and benefits from a very friendly staff. Visitors have enjoyed good bar and food service during their stay. While not the most modern, the quaint and slightly worn ambiance complements the surrounding landscape, making it an ideal place to unwind. Guests have appreciated unexpected perks like a free room upgrade, albeit accompanied by a small amenity fee. The rates are considered an extremely good deal for the value provided. However, prospective guests should note that dining facilities are limited on certain days, affecting availability after breakfast, and the pool is currently under renovation, which may be a drawback for families with children. Overall, Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club promises a relaxing retreat with touches of historical charm.

Christmas Farm Inn and Spa is an adequate hotel with some dated features, albeit a pleasant one. The front desk staff can be indifferent and unhelpful, although some guests found them good. The hotel is a little pricey for something that old off-season and the furniture can be uncomfortable. The stairs to rooms are very steep, which could be challenging for some guests. There is a pool on site. Some guests found their stay just average and wouldn't return. However, other guests found the hotel to be a very nice place would return but choose a different room or suite. There was no mention found of the egg option for the continental breakfast.
