The Wingate by Wyndham Troy receives positive praise for its prime location, nestled conveniently near major highways and attractions, offering easy access to Detroit and neighboring amenities while maintaining a peaceful and safe environment. Guests appreciate the satisfying breakfast options, notably the variety and attentive service, though some improvements in selection could be made.
Spacious, comfortable rooms often enhance guest experiences, especially those recently renovated with features like jacuzzis. However, inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance can detract from overall impressions, with some reports of dated decor and issues like pests. Despite these challenges, the hotel promises good value, benefiting from a courteous and responsive staff who are frequently commended for their professionalism and eagerness to resolve issues.
The staff's welcoming nature significantly enriches the stay, providing efficient and accommodating service that often goes above and beyond for guest comfort. Although WiFi connectivity is a notable area needing improvement, other amenities, including televisions, perform well. The pool offers potential advantages with its generous size, but periodic maintenance lapses can affect guest satisfaction.
Beds are largely praised for their comfort and cleanliness, contributing positively to the hotel stay. While there are occasional remarks about firm or squeaky beds, they generally meet guest expectations for a comfortable night's sleep.
Overall, Wingate by Wyndham Troy delivers a satisfactory experience with highlights in location and service, while continuous improvements in housekeeping and amenities will ensure an enhanced guest experience.
