Information provided by the accommodationThe Drunken Elephant Mara is conveniently located 5 minutes away from the Sekanani Gate, Maasai Mara only a three and a half hour drive from Nairobi on a fully tarmac road. The camp has only 7 en-suite tents, with 2 family tents that can sleep 4 adults comfortably and 5 double tents all beautifully situated in a naturally forested seven acre plot set along a river front.
Our name comes from elephants that gorge on the marula fruit in our compound, most of which remains accessible to wild animals.
In the evenings we encourage our guests to socialize around our purpose built outdoor fireplace and cooking station. Food is offered from a standard menu and a self service bar is available throughout the day.
We are the ideal choice for families and large groups that want to enjoy a casual and relaxing break in a truly natural setting.
Our camp is placed in the most natural setting, offering the experience of being one with nature. It can accommodate any guest, but it is more suited to the adventurous guest who wants to have an ultimate bush experience albeit with luxury amenities.
