Rooms at the hotel are clean and functional, consistently praised for their modernity and tidiness. Though many guests find them on the smaller side, likening them to compact spaces akin to ship cabins, the cleanliness and maintenance of both rooms and bathrooms remain commendable. However, there are recurring themes regarding the rooms' limited heating, noise levels and lack of natural light which suggest areas for potential improvement.
In terms of cleanliness, Hotel Gerhard excels with high standards maintained across rooms and shared facilities. Guests frequently note the meticulous upkeep, including regular towel replacements and well-maintained new features, which significantly contribute to a comfortable stay.
The staff of Hotel Gerhard are often described as friendly and accommodating, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. Although occasional challenges with reception availability have been noted, the overall kindness and helpfulness of the team stand out in reviews.
Beds at the hotel receive mixed feedback. The bedding is noted to be clean with "snow-white" sheets, but the mattresses are often considered too firm and the pillows and duvets do not meet every guest's comfort expectations. There were also mentions of noise disturbances from adjacent rooms and rare but concerning issues like stains on bedding or bed bugs.
In summary, Hotel Gerhard offers a convenient and clean stay with friendly staff and a satisfactory breakfast, though the room size and bed comfort may not suit all preferences. Its excellent location and overall value make it an attractive option for many visitors.
