Although the surrounding architecture may not be the most attractive, there are plenty of shops and a mini-market nearby for convenience. For those who want to explore further, the hotel is close to the airport and there is a bus stop right outside that can take you to the city centre, Knossos Palace and other locations around the island. While a car would be useful for exploring further, it is not essential. The location is quiet and peaceful, but there are plenty of nice tavernas, bars and shops in walking distance. The hotel also has its own private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas and the water is clean. Overall, guests find the location to be excellent with easy access to the beach, city and other attractions on the island.
