The Byron Hotel is situated in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the center and the sea walk with shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket just in front and it is a 5-minute walk to the main strip of shops and restaurants. It is also very near to the city center, about a 5-minute walk - though there is a bit of an uphill climb when returning. Parking is free and can be found on the streets around the hotel and across the hotel there is a bus stop. The hotel is within walking distance to the beaches, but this was clear in the advertisement for the hotel. The location is nice and very close to the waterfront and the main shopping street with restaurants also very close by. While some guests remarked on the noise of the cars and scooters at night, most agreed that the location was stellar with the hotel being close to the town center, marina and bus station. The hotel itself is clean and well-equipped and the staff is very friendly and helpful, making it an excellent option for those looking for a central location in Argostoli.
