Very Good
Location
Newlands Holidays is an idyllic location for anyone wanting to explore the Jurassic Coast and beyond. With Charmouth beach and Lyme Regis just a short walk away, the hotel is situated perfectly. Guests have loved being able to enjoy beautiful views from the clean and spacious accommodation with many praising the outside eating/drinking area. The location also provides easy access to main roads, as well as being situated just off the A35 outside Bridport. Newlands Holidays is perfect for families with guests enjoying the lovely park and facilities on offer for children. The location is quiet and peaceful, making it the ideal spot for a mini break to the seaside. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and close to shops and restaurants, which has been great for many guests. With a central location for visiting sites, the hospitality and location of Newlands have received rave reviews.

Breakfast
Guests at Newlands Holidays had varied experiences with the hotel's breakfast. Some found it to be amazing, well cooked and simply one of the best breakfasts you can ask for. Others, however, were disappointed by the lack of options and the basic, full English breakfast that only served cooked food. The cost of breakfast was also a point of concern for some with guests feeling that £10 per person was excessive, especially when drinks were not included. Hair dryers were not provided in the rooms and breakfast was only available Monday to Friday, which meant some guests missed out. Despite these shortcomings, others found the breakfast to be good value for money and lovely. Overall, the hotel's breakfast received mixed reviews, so it's worth considering your own preferences before booking.

Dinner
Newlands Holidays offers an onsite restaurant and bar, where guests can enjoy a nice meal. While some guests found the food to be excellent and good value, others felt that it was not worth the money. There were mixed reviews on the menu options and food quality with some guests mentioning lovely food while others had issues with their meals. The restaurant was also noted to close earlier and not serve food two nights of the week. The limited menu options and noisy music also bothered some guests. Unfortunately, wait times for food were a common complaint with some guests waiting for an hour and a half and others being told that the kitchen had already closed. Additionally, some guests had negative experiences with the chef's attitude or were not informed of the restaurant closure ahead of time. Despite the criticisms, some guests still found the restaurant to be great and appreciated having food onsite. However, many felt that the food and drinks were expensive and could use better quality products.

Rooms
Guests of Newlands Holidays have generally positive things to say about the hotel's rooms. Many comments mention the cleanliness of the rooms, stating that they were spotless and had everything they needed. Some guests describe the rooms as comfortable and spacious with lovely decor and plenty of facilities such as a fridge, microwave and TV. There were a few negative comments about noise from generators and thin walls, as well as some issues with broken or stained furniture. Overall, it seems that most guests were happy with the size and cleanliness of their rooms at Newlands Holidays.

Beds
Newlands Holidays offers guests clean and comfortable beds with some reviewers describing them as the best they've ever experienced. Some rooms have nice big beds, while others have real single beds - although some guests felt the single beds were very small. The beds and pillows, however, were not perfect for everyone - some found them uncomfortable or disappointing and a few reported issues like broken beds or stained pull-out mattresses. Nonetheless, others noted that they were comfy and had a modern stylish feel. There were some comments about the pillows being made from plastic material, which some found less comfortable than traditional pillows. Despite these mixed reviews, many guests agreed that the beds provided a good night's sleep and the rooms were very clean.

Cleanliness
Newlands Holidays is a great option for those seeking a clean and comfortable stay. Many guests praised the property for being spotless and tidy with clean and comfortable rooms, quality linens and fluffy towels. Staff received commendations for their quick response to issues, such as when a bathroom extractor had a fault. Facilities were frequently described as clean with staff working hard to maintain them. However, some guests did raise concerns about the cleanliness of their rooms and apartments with some reporting dirty floors, sand in bed sheets and hairs in the bathroom. Some guests also expressed disappointment at the lack of cleaning during their stay. Overall, Newlands Holidays is a nice and clean place to stay with spacious, modern and practical rooms at good value.

Staff
Newlands Holidays is a hotel worth visiting thanks to its great location and superb onsite facilities - from a good pool area to a play area for kids. However, what sets this hotel apart is its outstanding staff. All the staff members at Newlands are very polite, friendly and helpful. From receptionists to housekeeping, pool staffs, bar staffs and restaurant staffs, everyone is exceptionally friendly and nice. The bar manager is kind and caring, always willing to help. The restaurant also has a nice ambiance and welcoming staff. The hotel reception staff is very helpful and willing to provide information about local attractions. The staff made guests feel very welcome, making the stay even more enjoyable. On top of that, the rooms and onsite facilities are kept clean, making it a perfect spot for a restful break. However, while the majority of guests reported a warm and pleasant experience with the staff, some have experienced rude behavior when raising issues.

Pool
Newlands Holidays offers both indoor and outdoor pools for their guests, but unfortunately there is an extra charge of £3.50 per session to use them, which some felt was expensive. However, many guests enjoyed using the pools and found them to be clean with new facilities around both pools. The outdoor pool was particularly impressive, as it was larger than most and kept clean. Families with children appreciated the playground and other facilities available to keep kids entertained, including activities such as bingo. However, there were complaints about having to pay and book ahead for the indoor pool, as well as the fact that the indoor pool was small and made some of the apartments too hot. Some guests also would have preferred free access to the outdoor pool. Despite the flaws, the pool facilities remain a highlight for many guests.

Parking
When it comes to parking at Newlands Holidays, guests have mixed reviews. Some found that there was plenty of parking available right outside their apartment or room, making it easy to come and go as they pleased. Others mentioned that the parking facilities were quite limited and that they had to park further away from their room. It's worth noting that some guests had views of the car park from their rooms, which might not be ideal for everyone. Additionally, some guests pointed out that there is no lift available, which could be challenging for families with young children or those with mobility issues. Overall, however, guests who were able to find a parking spot appreciated the convenience and ease of access that it provided.

Outdoor Pool
Newlands Holidays offers a great selection of facilities to enjoy with particular praise for the indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor pool is larger than most and kept clean with plenty of facilities for children. However, it is worth noting that access to the pools does come at a cost and booking the indoor pool in advance is required. While the reasonably priced swimming pools were a hit with the kids, it would have been preferable to have free access to the outside pool. Despite some disappointment due to the need for paid access and booking, the swimming pools at Newlands Holidays are greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, it should be noted that the outside pool was closed on occasion. Overall, the pool facilities prove to be a popular attraction for guests.

Indoor Pool
Newlands Holidays boasts of great facilities around their indoor and outdoor swimming pools. However, some guests express disappointment with the booking system for the indoor pool. The indoor pool itself was described as nice and clean with one guest noting that the outdoor pool was colder than expected. There is a swimming pool policy in place with the indoor swimming costing more than the outdoor one. Nevertheless, many guests enjoyed the pools with some recommending that you remember to book the indoor pool in advance. Families with children also appreciated the availability of the snooker table. Although described as good, the indoor pool was noted as being smaller than expected. Overall, the swimming facilities were regarded as lovely and clean.
