Location

Wake Up! Byron Bay is a hostel that boasts a beautiful location directly across from Belongil Beach, making it a little surfer's paradise. Although it's a bit out of the way and takes some time to walk to/from the town centre, there is a free shuttle service that runs every hour. The hostel is also conveniently located near bars and restaurants. The beach is super close and you can even rent surf and body boards for free. The location is stunning and there are many opportunities to see wildlife, such as bandicoots. Although some guests noted that the hostel could have been cleaner due to the sand on the beach, the location itself is excellent and guests were surprised by the convenience of having a shuttle available. Overall, Wake Up! has a fantastic location right on the beach and is perfect for those who enjoy a Byron Bay vibe.

Rooms

If you're looking for spacious, clean and well-lit rooms, Wake Up! Byron Bay might be your place. From basic but pleasant accommodation to deluxe rooms with private bathrooms, the selection caters for a variety of budgets and preferences. The facilities are also beautiful and always kept very clean. Some reviewers did point out that a few additional touches could make the rooms feel cozier and that the information given out on the front desk was not always consistent. Also, some guests complained about the lack of noise abatement and the outdated or limited equipment in their rooms. Wake Up! Byron Bay is an awesome beach hostel that is perfect for those who love to soak up the sun by the sea. The hostel is situated directly across the road from Byron's famous 40 km beach, Belongil beach. It's just a short 3-minute walk to Belongil beach where guests can take the opportunity to rent surfboards and bikes, absolutely free of charge.

Many guests loved the tranquility of the location and the stunning beach front with some describing the beach as beautiful while others were impressed with how near it was to the hostel. Although the rooms were great with the added benefit of private washbasins, it was the location that made guests enjoy their stay at Wake Up! Byron Bay even more.

The inclusion of yoga and surfboard hire in the already low price make it an unbeatable deal, especially considering the hotel's great location near local bike rentals. All in all, you can't beat the variety and quality of activities available here, especially the free yoga sessions.
