The stunning and beautiful surroundings provide a quiet getaway for families and couples wanting to explore the area. The location is central to many local attractions with easy travel to both Blackpool and the Lakes and only a 15 minute drive to the cinema, restaurants and shopping. The location is also great for exploring on foot with many public footpaths that can be explored from the grounds. The architecture and character of the resort are impressive, set in beautiful and immaculate grounds. However, some guests felt that the resort needs updating with cracks all over and tiling that requires attention. Unfortunately, some guests were disappointed to find out that the restaurant and facilities were not open during their stay, after having booked and paid for their rooms. Nevertheless, the location is absolutely stunning, deep in the countryside yet close to Lancaster and Blackpool. The woodland and pastoral views are gorgeous and the lovely peaceful setting makes for a wonderful stay. Overall, Thurnham Hall Resort is an ideal location for a quiet and relaxing rural getaway and a great place to use as a base.
