East Norwich Inn is a highly praised accommodation option in Long Island, particularly valued for its excellent location. Guests appreciate its convenient proximity to major highways, LIU Post, various events and a selection of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel’s setting offers a tranquil and charming environment, providing a restful escape from the bustling New York City. Cleanliness is a standout feature with many guests noting the well-maintained property and comfortable rooms. The helpful and friendly cleaning staff further enhance the sense of a well-kept environment, contributing to an overall positive experience.
The rooms at East Norwich Inn are described as spacious, clean and comfortable, though some visitors have noted that they show signs of aging and could benefit from updates. Despite the dated decor and occasional maintenance issues, the large and cozy beds contribute to a restful stay. The hotel’s air conditioning, although effective, can sometimes be a bit noisy.
While guests have mixed opinions about the staff, many have encountered friendly and accommodating employees who help to create a welcoming atmosphere. Individuals like Vinny and other night shift staff have received particular commendation for their helpfulness. However, there are instances where some front desk staff were perceived as rude or unprofessional, which affected the overall experience for certain guests.
An area where the hotel falls short is its breakfast offering or rather, the lack thereof. Despite being advertised during the booking process, breakfast options have been unavailable since the pandemic, much to the discontent of visitors. Alternatives are available nearby, but at an extra cost.
Parking at East Norwich Inn generally receives positive feedback with guests appreciating the large and secure parking lot. However, availability can be an issue during busy times, especially because of a shared arrangement with a nearby steakhouse. Despite these challenges, the free parking is valued by guests.
In terms of value, the East Norwich Inn stands out as an economical option, especially when compared to other more expensive hotels in the area. Guests often find it offers good value for money with its clean and comfortable rooms and favorable location. Overall, despite some minor drawbacks, East Norwich Inn is recognized for providing a cozy, cost-effective and convenient stay in a charming setting.
