Haunted
Jekyll Island Club Hotel is rumored to be haunted by the banker J. P. Morgan who during his stay at the hotel, was smoking his cigars every morning at 5 in the morning. Several guests say they have smelled cigar smoke the same hour of the day. Also the appearance of a ghost of a another former resident of the hotel who died in 1906 has been reported in the suite he once stayed.
