While some guests felt it didn't quite offer the level of luxury expected for a 5-star hotel, most were delighted with their sumptuous experience. The hotel's lovely old-fashioned feel, quality sanctuary and sense of class impressed guests and their gardens, dining room and bedrooms were all exquisitely beautiful. Meals were exceptional with lovely quality food and the hotel was suitable for families with small children. However, some found the hotel to be very expensive, lacking in certain 5-star elements and that little things and details were not up to scratch. Despite some negative reviews, most felt that it was a fantastic hotel and a great place to stay in to experience the best of Bath.
