Hotel & Gasthof Taferne is located in a prime spot for skiing with the Reiteralm skipiste nearby and the first cable car just 1.5km away. The hotel is also ideally located for exploring the surrounding area with great access to local villages and Schladming. Guests also enjoyed the convenience of the Schladming card for excursions. While some found the noise from the nearby main road a bit disruptive, the hotel offers parking right in front of the house and a ski bus stops directly in front. For cyclists, the location is perfect as the hotel is situated directly on the road. The hotel is also an excellent base for exploring the Schladminger/Dachstein Region and Salzburger Pongau on foot. While some preferred more secluded locations, the views of the street from the hotel were satisfactory for others. Overall, the hotel's location was described as optimal for skiing and outdoor activities.
