The location, rooms and Skyrestaurant have been highly praised, but the breakfast and evening restaurant have been criticized for having a "Turnsaalcharakter" (gymnasium-like atmosphere) and being inadequate for a hotel with such a rating. Hotel Punta appears to fall short of its four-star rating with many guests indicating that it barely reaches the standards of a two or three-star establishment. Several reviews highlight a disparity between the price and the perceived value, pointing out that the facilities and services do not align with what one would expect from a four-star hotel.
Specifically, room sizes and accompanying amenities are mentioned as being overstretched for a four-star rating and some guests felt that particulars, such as the small bathrooms and outdated chairs in the restaurant, did not meet the expected standard. Assistance with luggage, a common expectation for four-star hotels, was notably absent.
Feedback on service and food also suggested they were below the level typically anticipated from such a rating. Despite the hotel's claim to four stars, guests consistently experienced elements that suggest the hotel may require significant updates to truly meet that standard. Thus, based on these reviews, it seems that Hotel Punta might be more accurately categorized as a three-star hotel.
