Guests who didn't golf still had an excellent weekend. Despite the owner's dubious reputation, guests preferred Turnberry over Gleneagles for its superior golfing experience. The Alisa golf course was the best and most playable ever and the Robert the Bruce course was fantastic. However, guests noted a lack of disclosure regarding golf facility restrictions and they were disappointed that the locker rooms and practice facilities were closed, as well as the iconic Lighthouse halfway house. Nevertheless, the hotel offered to take some guests on a golf cart and those who didn't dine at the hotel found Wildings restaurant nearby to be very good. Overall, guests agree that the Trump Turnberry golf course is the best in the UK without question and definitely worth a visit.
