If you're looking for a stunning location for your stay in Carmel, look no further than the Hyatt Carmel Highlands. The hotel sits atop a hill, providing amazing ocean views that guests describe as mesmerizing and incredible. The location is peaceful and relaxing and the hotel has a beautiful secluded feel while still being close to several stunning spots, such as Point Lobos and the 17 mile drive. Guests rave about the spacious rooms with fireplaces and balconies facing the ocean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely and open with easy parking and some guests mention the nice little beach nearby. Though a few guests note that the hotel is somewhat remote from town and there is some road noise from the nearby highway, most agree that the location is the main draw of this property. Overall, if you're looking for a beautiful location with spectacular views and plenty of serenity, this hotel is a great pick.

Breakfast

If you're looking for a hotel with delicious breakfast, Hyatt Carmel Highlands is a great option! Guests rave about the included breakfast which is very good and ranges from eggs Benedict to burgers (although some guests did mention disappointment with the burgers). The cappuccinos are apparently amazing and the staff does a great job with the food display. There were a few complaints about breakfast, though – some guests were upset that the hotel only serves breakfast and lunch while others were surprised that there was no breakfast available for purchase. Overall, if you're looking for a delicious breakfast that's included in your stay, Hyatt Carmel Highlands is a great choice.

However, guests were not informed that the restaurant was closed for lunch or dinner and some amenities such as room service were unavailable due to COVID-19. Despite this, overall, the restaurant was a nice experience.

Hyatt Carmel Highlands offers spacious and serene rooms with some of the most comfortable beds you'll ever sleep in. The rooms include private balconies and some even have fantastic views of the ocean. While some rooms may be outdated and in need of updates, they are still clean and cozy. There are bigger suites available that are well equipped and comfortable for couples or families. Unfortunately, some of the rooms have smelly fireplaces, thin walls or terrible lighting. The hotel location and parking can be challenging for some guests. Overall, the rooms are a bit overpriced for their outdated style, but the staff is friendly and accommodating.
