The spa itself is excellent with a beautiful, high-quality area for relaxing. The pool in the spa is a good size and comes included in the stay, along with gym facilities. Some guests did note that the spa and facilities could benefit from a refurbishment and the area should be subject to more frequent cleaning and checks. Others commented that they specifically booked for a spa/thermal suite break, but were disappointed to find that several rooms were out of order or in need of repair. Nevertheless, the spa treatments were great and overall, the spa area is excellent. Some guests experienced issues with the sauna and steam room not working or being very noisy and others were disappointed that the spa facilities were closed for refurbishment during their stay with no prior warning. Despite some mixed feelings about the spa facilities, guests liked the location of the hotel, stunning gardens and lovely pool and outdoor spa bath.
