Mr and Mrs Bramley, previous owners of the accommodation, reported seeing a tall, thin man wearing all black approaching the front gate and then fading away without ever opening it. The landlord put their bodies in a trunk and they say that when the police came to arrest him, he saw the ghosts of his wife and their baby ascending the stairs like always. Their ghosts have remained on the premises ever since.

Since the east wing of this hotel is built right next to a graveyard, the spooky atmosphere and the eerie occurrences are sure to abound. Guests have claimed that their personal items have been moved during the night, bed sheets have been removed from their place, while a heavy wardrobe has even been moved behind a door, locking its current occupants outside of the room.
