Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Wingate by Wyndham New Braunfels garners appreciation for its exceptional location, providing convenience and quietude with easy access to major thoroughfares and local attractions. Situated near popular spots like Gruene and shopping centers, the hotel offers both leisure and business travelers a central and accessible place to stay, further enhanced by its clean and quiet rooms.
The breakfast receives mixed feedback with many guests enjoying a variety of hot items such as sausage links, potatoes, eggs and Texas waffles. However, there are mentions of early depletion of supplies, basic offerings and the early closure of breakfast services, indicating room for improvement in maintaining food stock and breakfast area cleanliness.
In terms of room quality, many guests are pleased with the spacious, clean and well-maintained accommodations, complemented by efficient air conditioning and good beds. The hotel's location also adds to its appeal. The staff's excellent customer service often enhances the experience, although there have been occasional reports of outdated décor, housekeeping issues and limited TV channel selections.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel generally receives favorable comments with many enjoying a sanitized environment and courteous staff. However, some reports of dirty carpets, sticky floors, black mold and unpleasant odors suggest variability in room upkeep, which could be improved.
The staff at Wingate by Wyndham New Braunfels are frequently praised for their friendliness, helpfulness and attentiveness. The efficient check-in process and the staff’s efforts to accommodate special requests contribute to the positive reviews, despite a few less satisfactory interactions.
The indoor pool and hot tub are popular among families and guests seeking relaxation. While most feedback on these amenities is positive, noting the comfort and accessibility, some remarks about chlorine odor and cleanliness issues indicate that maintenance in these areas could be enhanced.
Lastly, bed comfort is a mixed bag for guests; some find the beds cozy and conducive to a restful sleep, while others report discomfort due to hard mattresses, back pain, stains and insufficient pillow support.
Overall, Wingate by Wyndham New Braunfels offers a comfortable stay with excellent location benefits, friendly staff and enjoyable amenities, though there are areas that would benefit from improvement, particularly in breakfast service, room maintenance and bed comfort.
