Hotel Capitol offers a well-rounded experience with several strong points that make it appealing for guests. The central location is particularly advantageous for business travelers, providing easy access to meeting spots, the airport, and city attractions in Ikeja. While some might find the busy surroundings and hidden entry less appealing, many appreciate the strategic position for both business and leisure activities.
The rooms and cleanliness standards at Hotel Capitol receive high praise, with spacious, modern, and impeccably clean accommodations that guests find very attractive. Notably, many appreciate the excellent air conditioning, plush furnishings, and impressive Valley Views. The consistent cleanliness extends throughout the hotel, contributing greatly to guest satisfaction.
The hotel staff is frequently highlighted as a standout feature, consistently described as friendly, approachable, and attentive. Their professionalism and warmth create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. Although there are some remarks about inexperience, the overall impact of the staff is overwhelmingly positive.
While the breakfast experience is mixed, with delightful meals enjoyed by some, there is room for improvement in both service efficiency and variety. The suggestion to incorporate more diverse options, including both English and local dishes, indicates potential areas for enhancement.
Hotel Capitol provides a comfortable and clean stay with accommodating staff, despite minor issues with breakfast service, WiFi connectivity, and occasional disparities in bed comfort. Guests appreciate the pleasant environment fostered by the hotel's dedication to cleanliness and the friendliness of its staff, ensuring a generally enjoyable stay.
