Lake Chatuge Lodge provides a generally positive experience for guests with disabilities, though there are areas for improvement. The hotel's location is advantageous, being close to dining and entertainment options, which are accessible via a walkable path through the woods. This setting can be easily navigated by guests with mobility challenges. While there are ample handicapped parking spaces available, their high demand may occasionally present an issue. However, some parking is available directly in front of the lodge, offering convenience. Despite the accessibility features, the presence of stairs for most areas can pose a challenge for some guests. The lack of a bellman or assistance for those with disabilities highlights an area for potential improvement to enhance guest comfort and accessibility.

Unicoi State Park & Lodge offers a picturesque setting, surrounded by natural beauty that enhances the overall guest experience. However, accessibility for guests with disabilities poses some challenges. The lodge lacks elevators, making it difficult for those using strollers or who have mobility issues, especially on higher floors. Some guests found access to rooms challenging due to extensive walking and were disappointed by the absence of handicap-accessible options or construction that further limited accessibility. Despite these challenges, the setting's beauty provides a compensatory value for many visitors. Improvements in accessibility features and staff training on aiding guests with special needs could enhance the experience for those with disabilities.
