Buff & Fellow Eco Cabins receives glowing reviews for its remarkable location, exceptional breakfast offerings and innovative dining experience. Set against stunning, serene surroundings near George Airport, guests are treated to breathtaking views and close wildlife encounters with animals like rhinos, buffaloes and zebras. The peaceful and private landscapes make it an ideal retreat for nature lovers, further enhanced by modern, well-furnished eco-friendly cabins that provide a luxurious yet connected-to-nature experience.
Breakfast at Buff & Fellow Eco Cabins is highly praised, particularly for the fresh eggs collected from the chicken coop and the well-prepared breakfast boxes packed with farm-fresh produce. Informational and enjoyable breakfast game drives, led by the knowledgeable farm owner Pieter, add a unique and enriching touch to the morning routine. Guests enjoy meals on the terrace or pre-prepared breakfast boxes delivered to their doors, often noting the ample and generous portions.
For dinner, the meal kit concept provides a delightful opportunity to cook on-site with fresh, quality ingredients. The Burger Box and braai-box received particular praise for their delicious and abundant components. Guests appreciate the engaging activity of preparing their own meals, although suggestions for slight improvements in maintaining food temperature and adding extra amenities were noted.
The cabins themselves are a highlight, featuring appealing designs that blend luxury with eco-friendliness. Spacious and well-equipped, they are ideal for a cozy, romantic stay with touches like private hot tubs and terraces offering stunning wildlife views. The cleanliness of the cabins generally meets high standards, though some areas like the small pool and hot tub towels were noted for needing better maintenance.
Staff at Buff & Fellow Eco Cabins are consistently praised for their friendly, attentive service and efficient communication, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. The owner's passion for the property and its animals adds a personal touch that guests appreciate. However, Wi-Fi remains a point of inconsistency with varied guest experiences ranging from reliable connectivity to significant challenges, especially for streaming or video calls.
Parking is available but could benefit from clearer communication and enhancements like shuttle services or walkways around the farm. Lastly, the beds receive numerous compliments for their comfort and quality, though there are occasional remarks about overly soft mattresses or minor issues with bed construction.
In summary, Buff & Fellow Eco Cabins stands out for its beautiful location, outstanding accommodation, delightful breakfast and dinner experiences and exceptional service, making it a highly recommended choice for a tranquil and unique getaway.
