El Canton in Llanes is highly praised by guests for its advantageous location, combining countryside tranquility with close proximity to the town center. The hotel's serene rural setting offers picturesque mountain views and a calming natural environment, while being just a short, scenic walk to Llanes, known for its dining, shopping and exploration opportunities. The quiet ambiance and free parking add to the convenience and charm for travelers.
The breakfast at El Canton is often regarded positively with guests enjoying a pleasant morning meal on the terrace amidst mountain views and a lush garden. While the breakfast offerings are described as simple yet delicious, some guests noted a limited variety. Despite this, many consider it good value for money.
The hotel's rooms are frequently highlighted for their spaciousness, cleanliness and charm, often featuring parquet flooring and wooden ceilings. Mini fridges and, in some cases, terraces with stunning views further enhance the stay. Although some found the rooms a bit basic for the price and mentioned issues with soundproofing, the overall comfort and cleanliness were commended.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is a standout feature with guests consistently noting the immaculate condition of both private and common areas. The hotel’s commitment to maintaining a spotless environment contributes significantly to a relaxing atmosphere.
The staff at El Canton receive widespread acclaim for their friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness. Personal engagement from the owners and key staff members like Eva has been particularly noted, making guests feel welcomed and valued.
Parking facilities at El Canton are also highly regarded. The availability of free, easily accessible parking spots directly in front of the hotel is a notable convenience, especially for those traveling by car.
Bed comfort receives mixed reviews; while some guests find the beds comfortable and clean, others have cited issues with softness and broken slats, suggesting room for improvement in mattress and pillow firmness.
Overall, El Canton offers a delightful blend of natural beauty, convenient location, cleanliness, attentive service and practical amenities, making it a well-regarded choice for visitors to Llanes.
