Lodge Taking Steps Towards SustainabilityChobe Game Lodge works to mitigate its environmental impact with solar-powered vehicles and boats. It is the only permanent lodge in the Chobe River section of the national park and has an extensive Environmental Management Plan covering energy conservation, water stewardship, recycling, and waste management. The lodge has a large solar panel array and supplements power with the hydro-electric scheme of Victoria Falls. It has revolutionary recycling initiatives, including transforming glass waste into material for bricks and recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles.
