Location

The Skytop Lodge is located in the stunning Pocono Mountains, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and beautiful grounds. From the central location facing the main entrance to the beautiful indoor and outdoor pools, this historical hotel offers an amazing location full of activities. Guests can spend hours exploring the acres of land, walking around the lake or taking a hike on one of the many beautiful trails. The ambience and views are also great and the hotel is just a few miles off the interstate, making it easily accessible from the outlets. No matter what time of year, the Skytop Lodge is a perfect place to enjoy the cool Poconos with hauntingly beautiful winter scenery at the lake location, beautiful fall scenery and a beautiful setting all around. Overall, this hotel is a beautiful facility in the midst of nature and the location and scenic views did not disappoint.

Breakfast

The breakfast options at Skytop Lodge offer a variety of delicious choices. Some guests enjoyed their meals at both Lakeview and Windsor restaurants and others loved the fresh fruit and baked goods. The breakfast buffet received mixed reviews with some guests finding it exceptional while others felt it was average or even bland and cold. Some guests wished for more a la carte options instead of a big buffet. Despite some inconsistencies and limitations, a number of guests found the breakfast to be the best meal of their stay with delicious bacon and a variety of options. The front desk staff deserve a notable mention for their impeccable service, attentive and always happy demeanor. Phoebe, Mike, Rick and Dan are staff members who made the trip top-notch by going the extra mile to make sure the stay was more than hoped for and being super friendly. Everyone we encountered, from the bartenders in the Library/lounge, Claire and Fernando, to the bellboy Daniel, to the server at the restaurant, was charming, friendly and accommodating. Some guests mentioned issues with the front desk staff, but they are a few exceptions. What sets the Skytop Lodge team apart is that they are attentive to guests' needs and are abiding by the standards placed upon them during COVID-19. Despite some occasional lapses, the dedication and passion of Skytop Lodge staff is certainly something to aspire to and a big selling point for would-be holidaymakers.
