Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' categoryThe Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel boasts an ideal city centre location with fantastic pool facilities. Guests have access to a nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi, however, some were disappointed to find the jacuzzi out of order upon arrival. The pool and facilities are great, but some guests wished the pool could have been warmer. Despite this, many enjoyed a lovely swim in the morning and appreciated the added bonus of the nice pool. The cleanliness of the pool was noted, although a few guests found ring pulls off of cans at the bottom. Families with children liked the shallow end and everyone appreciated the staff who were helpful. Overall, guests had a great time using the pool and gym which were easy to use and appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. Show more

Some guests were disappointed as the pool was closed during their stay, while others were pleased to find a lovely indoor/outdoor pool. However, some guests found the pool to be too cold or not worth bothering with. On a positive note, some guests loved the pool and found it to be a great feature of the hotel. The outdoor heated pool was also a bonus for some guests and others enjoyed a lovely evening swim there even in the November rain. Some guests also mentioned the library and room as well as the swimming pool as standout features of the hotel. However, one guest did note that flip flops were not provided in the swimming area.
