The rooftop pool at NH Porto Jardim garners mixed reviews from guests with the highlight being its panoramic views of the city. It's a small and shallow pool, often described as a plunge pool more suited for cooling off than for swimming. Some guests appreciate the clean and pleasant setting, citing the lovely views and the relaxing atmosphere.
However, many find the size and depth underwhelming, mentioning it to be more like a large bath or a wading pool rather than a proper swimming pool. The pool area itself is noted to be quite limited, often crowded and lacking in adequate seating or sun umbrellas. Additionally, there are accessibility issues, as guests need to pre-book time slots to use the pool, a process introduced possibly due to COVID-19 measures.
Cleanliness also seems to be a point of contention with several guests reporting instances of the pool being dirty and poorly maintained. Despite these concerns, the rooftop location is a redeeming feature, offering beautiful cityscape views that provide a charming backdrop to the small pool setting.

Torel Palace Porto offers a charming and beautiful outdoor pool that guests generally enjoy. The pool area, though small, is adjacent to both the restaurant and a lovely terrace, making it an inviting spot to relax. The space around the pool provides seating for about two couples, which can make it feel intimate but may be limiting during busier times.
However, it's worth noting that the pool is unheated, leading some guests to find the water too cold to use comfortably. Additionally, the pool's location next to the dining area and partial shading could affect its utilization.
Despite its compact size and temperature, the pool area is consistently praised for its cleanliness and overall appeal. For those seeking a warmer swim, the spa and indoor pool provide an alternative. Overall, the pool at Torel Palace Porto is a lovely feature that complements the outdoor dining and terrace areas, enriching the guest experience.

The pool offerings at Catalonia Porto appear to be diverse and mostly well-received. The hotel features both indoor and outdoor pools, along with a serene garden area and a poolside bar. Guests frequently praised the beautiful design, cleanliness and the inviting nature of the outdoor pool, which provides great views of the garden and is well-maintained. The heated outdoor jacuzzi and the indoor pool facilities also received positive feedback for their cleanliness and relaxing atmosphere.
While the pools are considered a highlight and a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring, there are some areas for improvement. A few guests noted that the outdoor pool could use additional maintenance and more sun loungers, while others mentioned that the water temperature in the heated pools was not always as warm as expected. The indoor pool was sometimes crowded and its usage required an additional fee with pre-booking recommended to ensure access. Despite these minor drawbacks, the pool facilities at Catalonia Porto add a significant charm to the overall experience, particularly appreciated in the lovely and relaxing garden setting.
