However, some guests noted that the swimming area was very busy with non-hotel residents and there was only one ladies shower in the spa/pool area. The pool has a one-hour time slot each day and some guests reported that the heating was broken on occasion, making the water colder than expected. Despite this, many guests enjoyed full use of the pool and spa facilities, ideal for visiting Rutland Water. The spa is separate from the hotel and has had some issues with the water heater, making the pool absolutely freezing at times. Some guests were disappointed with the hotel spa opening times. Overall, the indoor pool was nice with separate kids splash pool and full spa amenities. Despite some issues with rust and slipperiness, guests enjoyed the lovely building in a nice tranquil setting with the location and free parking being a plus.
