Guests who played on the course enjoyed it and described it as fabulous and quite good. The building and gardens of the golf course are stunning and add to the picturesque scenery. However, some guests felt that the golf and hotel should work better together and ordered an evening meal only to be directed to the golfers bar. The clubhouse meal was described as fine and basic, but bland and expensive. The hotel itself was not described as impressive by all, but was fine for a weekend if you want to golf. Guests who had a room with a golf view enjoyed the experience. Outside the hotel room window, an alley was used to park a golf cart. Nevertheless, the drive alongside the golf course to the hotel was described as a real pleasure. Overall, if golf is your passion, then Mottram Hall is a great choice.
