Displaying a 20m tall green facade the hotel has a vertical garden that also provides thermic and acoustic efficiency to the building. Natural lights and ventilation are a huge part of the project that also has low energy consumption LED lighting throughout the building. A solar heating system provides water heating and the water used in the toilets and garden irrigation comes from rainwater harvesting made by the property. Paper use has been reduced, using digital forms and documents, the waste is separated and recyclables sent for recycling and all suppliers chosen locally. All rooms have fully biodegradable amenities and bedding and towels are washed every 3 days or upon request and 70% of the rooms do not have minibar, saving a lot of CO2.
