An Chúirt Hotel in Gweedore, Donegal is a decent hotel in a great location. Although the meal was only adequate and not up to the 4-star standard that one would expect from a hotel like this, the pool/spa facilities were the only element that made the hotel come close to meeting the 4-star rating. Some guests found the hotel to be average and more akin to a greasy spoon café than a 4-star hotel restaurant. The hotel did offer upgrades for an extra cost, but still, some guests felt that the quality of the hotel's amenities didn't live up to what you would expect from a 4-star establishment. Breakfast was plentiful but not of the same quality you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Despite its shortcomings, An Chúirt Hotel is still a 4-star hotel, so guests had high expectations and felt disappointed that some aspects of their experience fell short.
